Quick Look: Bellator MMA Onslaught

That submission system is so whack.

If anyone was wondering, this studio is also responsible for Girl Fight. With this, Girl Fight, and Supremacy MMA before this, the people at Kung Fu Factory need to stop and really think about what the fuck they're doing. At least now the existence of Girl Fight makes sense to me so I got something out of this QL (besides Vinny and Jeff of course).

I feel like Jeff is being way too generous in assuming that you can't use paid boosts online.

This made me giggle, not really sure why.

The video's thumbnail got me all excited for a MMA game where you can launch fireballs.

Shocked and stunned at the sheer awfulness. Surely the people who make this crap should be in padded cell somewhere banging their already fucked up heads against a wall. Won't do any damage as the walls are padded but also because there is nothing going in there. The lights are on but it is clear there is no one home.

Every MMA game I have seen just seems terrible (this is probably the worse looking). You just can't capture the dynamism of the sport in a video game. The ground game always looks terrible (too many ridiculous reversals and there is no way to capture the fluidity of grappling with either qte or button mashing), the stand up is laughable (I remember hitting 6 flush head kicks in undisputed games and dude not getting knocked out and then me getting ko'd from a jab) and there is no positional sense in the cage. When you have actually trained/sparred boxing, kickboxing or grappled; you realize how unfulfilling these mma video games are.

Give me actual fighting game (preferably 2d), and leave fighting sports in the realm of the real world.

Jeff and Vinny quicklooks are the best.

Pure gold from the moment you hit play. Wow. Jeff and Vinny play off each other so well.

if jeff stopped more often he would have more stamina and win every time. either way the game is bad.

first time ive watched a video in a while, now theres ads. just wondering since GB got bought by a big company and now theres ads, theres probably more resources you know, possibly maybe would they consider dropping premium videos? you know because of the whole idea of videos being behind the paywall crappy. Maybe put something objectively good behind the paywall instead of content that is subjective and the source of this sites uniqueness. Might attract MORE new users with premium vids being free because theyre usually the most unique stuff too.

@jasondesante: The ads were there before the CBS buyout. Before, they were using them to stay afloat pretty much, out of necessity. I'd guess now it's just profit. Which, whatever. They deserve it, so it's fine.

Just to answer Jeff those two "Pitbull" guys are indeed brothers.

i would like to see a real fight where the guy being punched to death wins with a submission in 2 seconds

So they should put the boring shit behind a paywall and have all the great stuff free. Do you see any problems here?

Totally agree. I mean, they had several years to make it and the biggest budget in videogame history. They should have made something better then this.

Dude, it's a licensed downloadable game of a MMA league no one gives a fuck about. I mean it's fucking broadcast on MTV2 if I remember right. I'm pretty sure the developers gave just as much of a fuck as the gaming community do about this game.
