i've never played this game before and no, it doesn't remind me of Zelda
 
it reminds me of a PS2 platformer

Here's hoping some part of this new version makes its way to PC. The current PC port has lousy keyboard support and no gamepad support.

Something about that camera zoom and noise is intensely annoying.

This looks lika a good HD remake and at 10 bucks I think I am actually gonna play this game finally.

For some reason Enslaved always makes me think of this game

As someone who played this game several times, it frustrates me that Jeff has forgotten how to play. You don't have to watch the slo-mo every time!

They should remake some of clover studios games in HD. That would be cool.

It should be noted, I played BG&E on the PC a couple years ago after getting it on Steam, and the PC version is still great.  You can set the game to be whatever resolution your monitor is, and it scales beautifully. It's basically Beyond Good & Evil HD.
 
Of  course, some prefer the Xbox 360 controller to the mouse and keyboard setup, and the game came out before 360 controller support on PC came standard.  But I had no qualms with PC controls.

Bought this on Steam Sale for next to nothing a little while back, played 3 hours in then got bored. This quick look has encouraged me to try and finish it though D:

Not sure how i feel about the whole Jeff and girls of an inapropriate age joke that pops up every now and then.
 
It's funny as hell but I always get a slight creepy feeling afterwards.

I played my original PS2 copy of this game for a few hours a while back, though I didn't get this far into the story, mostly because there's a ton of side stuff that you can do for pearls in the beginning, enough to get the second ship upgrade, so I basically just did all of that.
 
It's a nice game, great soundtrack and characters, though the stealth and combat isn't all that fun. I'll be sure to pick it up on PSN, if for no other reason than that I would like to see BG&E 2 get made.

I don't get why Brad is so anti-stealth. 

One of the most over-rated games of all time. The story isn't even comic book good, the combat is button mashingly mind-numbing and the photography is just point and shoot.
 
Not worth 10$.

After the Jak II comment, went to go see Brad's video Reviews of Jak II and 3, and nostalgia hit hard. It was amazing to hear old Brad saying that the games visuals were some of the finest on the platform, and naming one of it's shortcomings "The Game is a little on the short side, with only 12 to 14 hours worth of gameplay, although it has a ton of extras".
 
I miss those days, and those games, SOOOOO MUCH. The closest thing to that good old feeling of Christmas day playing Jak 3 and being amazed by it, has probably been Arkham Asylum...

Only unless you have a widescreen monitor, with that that the game gives you pillarboxing and letter boxing at the same time, i.e. black bars all around the screen. It also suffers from some annoying graphical glitches in the menu and lacks gamepad support. All of those make it rather hard to enjoy the game. "

Well, the loading times were way shorter on the Gamecube version, just like every other multiplatform game.

I'm going to buy this, even though I have the PS2 version, in the hopes Ubi Soft gets off their asses and says something about BG&E2.

I'm down to play it again. I don't think I ever actually finished it, this would be the perfect time.

I'm glad to see some GB love for this game. It was definitely ahead of its time, as evidenced by how well it has aged.

And this game is so good and fun to play. I beat it a few years ago and the story was fun and most of the game was as well. I really hope this sells well as I would love to see the sequel.

God Brad, STFU. Constant Zelda references got plain old after the 1st one. I don't really even see it, its an action adventure game like others that came out at the time. Not just Zelda. 
 
And the WindWaker Boat to Hovercraft was a mighty stretch.

I'm sure they didn't "Upscale" the old console games guys.. I'm sure they downscaled the PC version that is still awesome and better looking than this.

I wonder why they chose to name a location "Black Isle"
