Quick Look: Call of Duty: Black Ops: First Strike Map Pack

Stadium? More like, "The Ticket Line Outside Of A Hockey Arena"

I played some SC2 today, and it just made me mad. I will stick to counter strike, at least I am alright at that and don't mind when I lose.

$15 for five maps, or easily that much OR LESS for a fully playable game? Hmmmmm.
 
Why do so many people chomp at the bit for what is literally 4 multiplayer maps and a shitty Left 4 Dead ripoff of a mode's map? Hell, I've been playing free L4D maps all month and it hasn't cost me a cent!

New maps look pretty good. Wouldn't mind seeing more like the stadium but agreed with what was said in the QL, I'd rather them break out the maps separately to either buy what you want or at least separate the zombi maps from the rest.

I love Giant Bomb, but they don't seem to know anything about Call of Duty. :) Practice dummies are from Combat Training. There are 15 prestiges, not 10. There are 50 levels, not 55. Like I said, love Giant Bomb, and this was a great Quick Look, but a lot of misleading information.

Surprised at Jeff's stats. Lower than I would think.
 
Kowloon looks OK because they didn't make it absurdly huge with lots of camper-friendly open spaces, like most Black Ops maps.

Knowing that Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 and this map pack cost the same amount of money makes me realize even further where my money is gonna end up.  Hola Senor Radd.

This is one of the main reasons I don't comment in forums or on videos. Because when you do you get people who bash you, not saying that's you, or have people who think all you do is wait for GB to make a mistake, just so I can correct them.   My apologies for trying to help Jeff and Brad out by correcting their mistakes. I'm sure they weren't on purpose, so I figured I would help out by letting some of the viewers, who don't play CoD, know the stats. "

I don't even own Black Ops but I really like the look of these maps. The Berlin Wall one looks nifty.

I had to teach myself to not be competitive. While you might get farther in life, it always made me feel horrible. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy it when I beat the crap out of someone at a competitive event. I just got over the losing part and the drive to never ever lose. That is a losing battle.

i have never cared about the quests....

Need to use them secondary grenades more.  Hacker allows you to see all enemy equipment on the map...Hacker Pro lets you...hack them.
 
Tactical insertion is pretty useless in TDM.

Because viewers who don't play COD would find it so enlightening that there are actually 10% more levels than what Jeff/Brad quoted off the top of their heads?  And because not knowing the exact figure by heart conflates to "knowing nothing about Call of Duty"?  I don't mind correcting them, but you were being a dick about it. "

World at War had the worst map pack implementation. I kept getting into games on maps I don't have. That is not how you do this!

Not gonna read all the comments, but I wonder if anyone is calling Jeff a "hardscoper" here. It's the most ridiculously stupid term I've ever heard kids sling around.

holy crap.  i knew this game in mp on console didn't look all that great since i last played in November, but damn!  GB's video compression really doesn't do it any favors (even though it has gotten significantly better since you guys launched 720p in September)!

Right around the 5 minute mark they just start talking gibberish. What the hell is tomato? How are they running it on an xbox? I'm confused. I just plug a big old ethernet cord from my cable modem to my xbox, and I plug it into my pc when I want to use that. Networking never made any sense to me.
