Why do you think that they would need to be paid to quick look a video game that just came out?

I HAVE A QUESTION: do older playsets work on the newer DI games? I know the characters do but playsets seem like a bigger reach.

sounds like Lego is going to have what jeff is looking for with being able to play any character in any part of the game, because I'm hoping to play as The Doctor and Chell the whole time

So I totally went in with Infinity 3.0, seeing Johnny V in his childlike gleam on TV Toybox is worth it alone.

Yeah, it actually looks like a pretty robust action-adventure/sandbox game that I would probably be into if it didn't have all the gated toy-stuff bolted onto it. I know that's how they make their money and kids love it, but I don't know, I got into video games to leave the world of physical objects behind

Nice animation gags that are very reminiscent of the classic Disney shorts, like Donald driving on the guardrails... But when did all of their voices get so... shit? I mean I get that the characters are like 100 years old now but I feel like I've heard better impressions IRL.

I... I kind of want this. I'm trying to cut down on the amount of plastic collecting dust in my house though. Watching the QL hoping that I can just pay to download characters. Are the toys a requirement? Like I'll pay the same price for a digital copy of a character as the figures cost...

I always feel like Jeff is less cynical than he should be about these games.

Apparently Johnny V gave an interview last year that indicated Olaf took priority over DarkWing Duck. Boo to that.

Man, Jeff's sentiments about what they are doing (and are NOT doing) with Tron exactly mirror my own. Grrrr, so frustrating! We want more Tron shit!

Honestly i don't mind Jar Jar Binks, he's not as bad as Anakin... or Han Solo... or Chewy... or...

I really like Tron. But, at most, there are about 4 dozen fans.

I think they are going to be looking at what Lego Dimensions is doing and making that more of a focus for 4.0 or whatever they end up calling it.

I like the art style for this game but I don't agree that Darth Vader looks great. He's probably the worst looking one that I've seen for this game.

I'll probably pick this up next year when they are clearing it out on sale to make room for the new game. More interested in Lego Dimensions for this type of game this year.

Just remember that JarJar doesn't get mentioned at all in Episode 4-6. He must have done something so bad, so despicable, that this former general, senator and overall representative of a race is not only written out of history, but his entire race is. Whatever it was is probably the biggest mystery of the Star Wars Universe, but it must have been something real sick.

Tron could have been so much more, and I have no idea why Disney allowed that franchise to stagnate. It's a cool concept that I wouldn't want to see waste away.

The Han Solo look on the thumbnail is the look I give people when they tell me they play toys to life games.

Nah, you'd have to have the disc for the older figures and playsets. You need a copy of DI 2.0 to play the old Marvel stuff, for example.

I wish it all carried over though, that'd be nice...

@murdoc_: It's a dumb action flick with an amazing style to it. You know, styyyyyle. It looks awesome, the action is fun, the soundtrack is fucking incredible and the CG on the evil Jeff Bridges is so bad it's good. And in the end, it's about people being trapped in a computer. That concept will always be awesome.

I hope we get a new Tron movie someday, I liked the last one and I hope they find new ways to expand the Tron universe. That soundtrack is still in my playlist.

Radio Disney probably only plays, like, 15 songs on loop in the real world anyways so they could've just licensed all the songs and put them on disc.

Just to add to this. The playsets don't work, but they do unlock all of the toys in the toy box associated with said playset. It's...something. But I do wish they carried over.

If you care at all, though, all of the Marvel figures are going to be playable in the upcoming Marvel playset, though. So at least those figures won't be totally useless.

Strangely, more Sumo Digital racing is the reason I'm now interested in this.

Also, Jeff's indifference towards Disney/Pixar and love for Tron is one of the reasons that makes him a cool guy.

I may have been about 6 when I first saw Jar Jar in theaters, and at the time I thought he was HILARIOUS!

Then 16 years passed and i grew up and realized he was a fart joke of a character. I have no idea why kids today would care, was he in the animated Clone wars show?

It was exactly what a Tron movie should be: super cool looking with a good soundtrack. I get that you might have not liked it, but not sure how it warrants being called a "flaming piece of garbage" especially when we live in a world where Paul Blart 2 exists.

Fun Fact: When Inside Out was released here in Japan It was called Inside Head...now go back to fighting about if this quick look was paid for.
