Guess they didnt watch He-man when they were kids, seems like the perfect voice to me as an 80s homage. :)

To be fair, none of them have been particularly funny. Making context-less references to decades past or spouting off random memes from 2 years ago doesn't make for a good joke.

I think the game looks pretty good. But its no double dragon! Music seems great also.

The remixed tunes are great. I expect the Streets Of Rage remake to have a grunge, acid house, and Afrocentric rap soundtrack.

@SatelliteOfLove: I think the UI looks awesome. They nailed that aesthetic.

It's weird, I got this free on PS+ a few weeks ago when it came out and I hated it with all my heart at first. It wasn't because I have some sort of love for old Double Dragon (I don't) it was because it felt stiff and I couldn't beat the first level because of it. But since then I've really come around on it and really enjoy it. There's a lot of great stuff in it and I feel like they do enough with the combat system to keep it from feeling overly repetitive. It's weird how divisive this game is but it's understandable because it makes such a terrible first impression.

I'm glad Ryan sort of gets it, but I see where Jeff is coming from. With beat em' ups these days its all about presentation, because there's only so much you can do with punching dudes, next screen, repeat. All of the bro stuff and air guitars are egging on how cheesy media in the 80's were, plus the music is baller as fuck.

Jake Kaufman is da man! Bought the Mighty Switch Force soundtrack just based on the music I heard in the quick look. History may just repeat itself for Double Dragon Neon. Plus it has a great "Still Alive"-eqsue end song.

the presentation can be fun or just confusing. Like the whole mythril and tapes really feel random. But the air guitars and shouting out random stuff is a reminder of all the other double dragon games after 2.

But man the controls are just horrible, they mention it in the quick look, but it should be stressed how boring it gets early on.

I don't see why I shouldn't like this game. It seems like a dumb, fun game.

It actually looks better than I expected. I was expecting hot garbage tho..

This quicklook is mostly making me want to play Double Dragon, not this game. I will though.

Literally as soon as he hit the guy with the bat, I thought "Wow, nice sound effect on the bat." @Ryan then immediately said the same thing. That must be a really damn good bat sound.

This looks rad. The thing about reverence for the old Double Dragon games is that it is destroyed by actually playing them. Those have not aged well.

So, they decided to play to their strengths. Good on them for it.

Jeff, this game looks dope.

Except for the part where it's a side-scrolling brawler.

I love how so many of the positive comments on this QL are along the lines of "I admit I haven't played the original Double Dragons and have zero nostalgia for them, but this seems like a great tribute to Double Dragon" without a hint of awareness.

Dan and Jeff brought me here from the future. It was worth the trip.

Vinny & Alex brought me here from the future. This game looks really good compared to the burning trash fire that is Double Dragon 4. It's crazy it only costs $2 more.
