@soap: Glad I wasn't alone on this. Nowadays when I see one and they look similar I don't even bother watching it. Look Austin, we get it, you like games that are strategic and use your brain and what not, but for real stop showing them!

Why? I enjoy this kind of game. IMO, this is the perfect kind of game for a quick look. It needs some explanation, it's off the beaten path. If I want to see someone play Overwatch or w/e I have no end of streams that will give me the goods. I rely on Giant Bomb to show me stuff like this.

I understand that these kind of games aren't your cup of tea, but it's not like Giant Bomb doesn't cover DOOM or Overwatch (both of which are great!)

Off the top of my head, Grow Home, 'Invisible, Inc.' and Pac-Man Championship Edition DX are all small <$20 games that I I found through Giant Bomb Quicklooks and grew to love.

What kind of games would you prefer Austin & Vinny & so on cover?

@eschaton_gb: Just to be clear I don't play Overwatch or Doom, so I'm not sure what you're insinuating. I also look to GiantBomb to show me a TON of great smaller indie titles. But my original point was I'm tired of seeing the SAME TYPE of small indie title. There are a TON of other types of indie titles I would love to see. I get Austin has a "type" of game he likes to play, but they're all starting to look the same to me. That's all I'm saying.

Nothing's cooler than losing a drone, pulling your team back, redocking for a better angle, and opening a side passage just long enough to tow your damaged drone back while being shot at. Doing it all via command line makes you feel like a space-scrappin bad ass.

Weird, I've never seen a game like this. Totally glad I watched this quick look, bought it immediately and have been cracking out on it since.

Or maybe you stop watching these? You said yourself how easy it is to tell what sort of video it will be so don't click. I had never heard of this game it looks right up my alley so I am glad they showcased it. You lose nothing by them doing videos of games you're not into.

Yes, this. Why should they stop posting anything? Don't watch shit you aren't interested in. I hope they do more stuff like this, I'm interested.

@leraa: oh my lanta read my follow up comment sheesh. I DIDN'T end up watching it because yes it's the same stuff. I for one don't mind showing all types of games, it's just been the same stuff consistently and is getting dull. Nothing against the games or the folks, just kinda bored with seeing the same type of game shown on here lately that's all. And for the last time NO I didn't finish watching it because I didn't want to, so the whole "don't watch it if you don't want to" portion of the argument can cease.

@pastor_richards: Re: overwatch, doom; I meant those as examples of large, popular games that have come out recently. I don't agree that Duskers is very similar to other games. What games would you say it is similar to? Can you give an example of a recent indie game you think has been overlooked by Giant Bomb West or East?

(and further, if you didn't watch the duskers QL, how do you know it is similar to other games?)

@eschaton_gb: OMG it's like a never ending game show. read what I wrote please. All of it. I didn't finish watching because right away it looked similar to the other games they've shown.

A few games overlooked. Savage Lands, Orion Prelude, Party Hard, Moon Hunters, Hammerwatch, I believe Patrick covered Delver but just a "worth playing" segment, Consortium, Air Buccaneers...just to name a few
