Quick Look: EX: Infinity Blade II

Wow, I've been hearing about these games for a while now but this is the first time experiencing it. Is there any word or possiblity that these might find there way onto Android devices? Particularly some of the newer tablets that have come to the market?

This should be on PS.Move.

I just played Infinity Blade for 5 minutes while waiting in line for my lunch. Beat a dude with a sliver of life left, leveled up, and bought a new sword and helmet. Lunch was ready and in seconds my phone was back in my pocket playing some music.

Sure my DS can play Chrono Trigger and Ninja Five-O, but that thing is sitting on my nightstand right now.

They've come out and said that the high piracy rate on Android as well as the huge breadth of devices running android with different hardware makes it a difficult decision to invest the resources into it. I suppose that's what makes iOS more of a console than android because of the closed platform and hardware.

@Royale: Man, that's bummer. I was curious about how the fragmentation of various systems in the android market might impact something like this, but i hadn't considered the piracy angle. I guess I should have since it's a major concern in every other market. Oh well, I guess there's always hope that they'll eventually make enough money that they don't care anymore (ha!) and release at least the first one anyway.

I will wait until I have a long vacation away from my consoles and definitely buy this and get way more than $6.99 out of it

I'm not big on portable gaming, but this game looks wicked. I want this on XBLA or PSN!

Parrying is easier? I didn't really have any problems with it in the first one but I guess that's cool.

WHY IS THIS NOT ON KINECT? I don't even have a 360 (but I do have an iphone) but this is such an easy example of simple controls that still allow combat to be fun.

This and Chrono Trigger out on iOS in the same month. It's a good time to have an iPhone.

After reading Awakening, I'm way more excited about this than I should be...

Never played the first one and it kinda looks boring, again I have yet to see something to convince me that mobil games are something to take seriously, but then again the first one sold very well so what the hell do I know? But I'll stick too my consoles

these guys seem to understand what is relatively necessary in a mobile game (i.e. clashmob)

Couldn't really get into the first one, this one doesn't seem like it will appeal to me either.

It's an iPhone game where you swipe the screen to block and slash guys. Also there are RPG mechanics where you can equip stuff to get better stats on your dude.

I've never seen the first one either, but I figured it out.

Are there many iOS games that are this graphically intensive? Seems like this is the only one that isn't explicitly casual that I hear about. As an Android user, I just get the trash.

There was totally a sword named Lando (though backwards) and I completely approve of that =) Also I own no iOS devices, but would play this on a Vita.

Yeah we could have done a sequel to Shadow Complex.. but instead we chose to do this game where you kinda swipe across a touchscreen. And then you see some pretty stuff happening and meters go up. Fuck you Chair!

This game is basically an extended quicktime event and especially the in between fight stuff is barely interactive. I can´t believe people are into this shit. Yeah, they have some light rpg stuff and some combo mechanics.. but this is still not a game I want to play. In short: Make another Shadow Complex.

But anyway, I really liked the first game. It's an outstanding mobile game: great to play in short bursts, but has enough persistence so that you're actually working toward something. Looking forward to playing this one.

I always see these, "greatest of the great IOS", games as kinda meh. But, if these games give these developers money and publisher confidence to make another great game, say a Shadow Complex 2, I'm all for it.

I quite like the idea of the Rebirth stuff. Looks like a decent game. Shame it's only on iOS and not an actual gaming platform, I'd like to try it out.

I loved the first one. This is a day-one buy for me.

I have the original iPad and iPhone 4(not S), so I hope it will run without hiccups...

Pretty much.. a super on rails point and click.

Never got why this got so popular, game is below mediocre.

I loved the first, and it seems like the work they've done expanding the fiction and combat is going to make this a lot more interesting. I hope the ending is also a bit better, I finished the first but didn't really realize it...
