It's amazing how many people complain about Quick Look EXs, I personally like to hear from the devs about their game and what they were going for with it.

I liked the first game, and this looks like more of that.

I agree! :D

I was hoping they would add more classes and such as I started watching this, so I'm fairly happy with what I've seen here and I'll definitely check it out May 15th.

Oh look, it's an indie tower defense game, you don't see those every day. I just don't understand what the appeal of tower defense is, the games are so abysmally boring I don't know why anyone would play them. Lucky for devs the games are easy to make and popular for god only knows what reason. That isn't really fair to this game since it has a lot more going on than a typical tower defense game, but fuck tower defense. Tower defense games are the Call of Duty clones of indie gaming.

Different game genres, much like music genres, can have interesting nuances and depth to them which you'll likely never see unless you're as invested in the genre as some people are. Likely one of the reasons Patrick Klepec force himself to play games outside his preferred genres so he can experience more and perhaps gain a wider understanding of things. :3

The tower defenders are the real monsters this time! I still don't need anymore tower defense right now though.

I generally don't like being that guy, but a robot sniper character who has emoticons display on its face? That's pretty much a direct rip of Zer0, right?

And Zer0 is also just a collection of common character tropes, kinda like a Gray Fox type :P

Being original these days can be quite difficult, considering all the stuff people have already tought up so far. I'm pretty sure there have been plenty of other "robot sniper"style characters before.

Is it just me or do the enemies look like they have vagina-faces?

They look like monsters from Zelda: Twilight Princess but with vag-faces instead of aztec-ish stones.

Anyway while this looks pretty cool/well made, it is hard to get excited about it, though the multiplayer sounds really good.

Not sure about Zelda, but they sure as hell remind me of something... I just can't place it.

Maybe some enemy in Iron Brigade? It feels like it's on the tip of my tongue.

I've been playing this game on Steam for about a week now, I got a preview copy for WikiGameGuides.com and I've been liking this game a lot. The only thing I don't like about this game is picking up the resources. The first game they would just be given to you. But maybe I'm just lazy. Other then that, it's really fun.

This is a PC game, is it not? Why the flying fuck does the FOV appear to be about 50 degrees?

And I have to say, this looks like it has the same issue that kept me from getting into the original: Your shots seem to do jack shit to mobs.

Forcing low FOV is the biggest crime a shooter dev can make on PC. This works on TVs, not if your monitor is right in front of you, goddamit.

You do realize that the FOV can be changed in the options menu, right? Why does no one think to ask the logical questions anymore?

It's almost as if you're all on Total Biscuit's payroll.

@egocheck616: The FOV being set to what looks to be no higher than 60 on a PC version by default it bad. Also, very few games have FOV options these days. It's pretty reasonable to just assume games won't have the option to change it without going into ini/console crap.

Regardless, the PC version should start with a higher FOV, and if it can be set higher, why wasn't it when they showed it off to an audience of people primarily watching on a computer monitor? Seriously, that FOV in the video is awful.
