Quick Look: EX: Twelve Minutes

This game looks great. The focus on the small environment and time frame seems like it really opens things up to allow for a ton of realistic possibilities for you to try to handle things and investigate what's going on. Most adventure-style games have the "one solution" that you randomly stumble upon but this appears to have a lot of different branching paths with different results or to gain different information.

This seems fucking awesome. Can't wait to play it myself

Looks really interesting. The top down perspective is reminiscent of Dreamweb.

This is so cool. I could have played something like this on the Amiga but in 2D and it would have been a point and click masterpiece, I'm eager to try it out when the time comes. It's doing many things right, tickling me in the good places.

I think Quick Look implies the game is out/soon to be released.

This reminds me so much of those early Flash games where you wake up in a room and have to find out out to escape the room. We always just called them point and click games. They always made me feel like a detective.

Now that was a really cool game. Came with an awesome journal that was hand written and had clues to the game and detailed the descent into madness of the main character.

I like the look, but I can never seem to get into many point and click games. I get stuck too easy. While I like the ground hog day aspect I could see it getting annoying if you get stuck too many times. Looks fun though!

Jeff Gerstmann: The first person to drug himself immediately and for no reason.

Ambien is great. It's like time traveling. Take 2 and do a couple shots and you wake up 9 hours in the future.

I'm haven't been this interested in a game for as long as I can recall.

Just finish the Witness already, so we can have this!! No, really this looks absolutely amazing. If there was any chance of this getting proper tools and workshop support, somebody might even make that damn groundhog day game after all!

Yeah, it's a true classic that oozed atmosphere despite its relatively short length, no doubt helped along by some really great music. Unfortunately I missed out on the 'Diary of a Madman' because I got the budget release, which only included the gameplay relevant parts on a single slip of paper!

I bet the watch is in the toilet tank. Jeff moved the mouse for a micro second over it but did't see that it an option.

Yeah, I really want to play this game. Take your time and make it good.

The one thing I could think of was trying to hide in the closet before his wife noticed that he'd come home.

I was really wondering if you turned out the lights and drugged the wife if the cop would think no one was home and not kick the door open. That probably wouldn't further the plot much though.

Well I just stuck this quick look on and wasn't expecting much but if this came to ps4 or vita I would totally be on it.

About half way through I was tempted to just turn it off because I was already sold and hoped they didn't give away the "ending". Glad to hear they were only scratching the surface. I was kind of bummed to find there isn't a playable build yet.

Looks very interesting, but a few things feel a little off.

The time aspect of it might be a little too frantic at times such as the part with Jeff showed how he has to hurried to get the water with pills to the wife and proving the thunder before it happens for example.

I also wonder if there's multiple ways to solve the puzzle, so far there's really no indication of if Jeff and Dan were in the right track, to me at least. They start going down a path, but then stop, but then sometimes they are doing it again with no indication of if they should do it. There are some clear ones like drug yourself and charging the cop, but there's so much more that could be done and there's little clue on where that leads! Get the phone, call the cops? hide the phone in the vent? the fridge? You can probably put a lot of other objects in different places also. Also the order to do these things probably matters also.

Kind of feels like it needs a quick save and quick load function so the player can follow down one path but then start doing minor changes at the "end" of their run to see what difference it makes.

The dialog and reactions base on multiple restarts is another weird detail, it is a good touch, and perhaps if the player did not know about it at first it adds some nice detail, but then you start questioning do I simply have to fail a few times just so more choices will unlock?

Not watching the rest of this. Stopped at the 911 call. This seems super interesting. I would have drugged her and kept the front door locked.

Game seems very cool. I really hope it comes to PS4 because that is the only way I would play this gem, since I don't bother playing games on my laptop.

Wow, probably the first quick look in awhile that I actually watched every minute of wanting to know what's next. This game is definitely on my radar now. At first I thought they would end up playing through the entire "demo" given the length of this video, but if that was really only 5% of the entire game that's really cool to me.
