Pleasure to watch Ryan play another Fallout DLC!

Least amount of gameplay in a QL since Yakuza 4?

Looks pretty insane, which is fitting for the Fallout universe.  This is a good thing.

Oh god Ryan, no offence but you're horrible at this game. Other then that, this dlc looks a lot more intresting then Honest Hearts. Might check it out when i've got New Vegas installed on steam again.

How does Ryan Davis heal in Fallout?

Did he seriously go through the whole game eating radiation?

So that's what happened to Deathspank after the apocalypse.

I was thinking of trading this game in soon but I will check out this DLC before I do

Also, this QL really shows how useless the VATS system is for the most part; you'll usually tear through an enemy a lot quicker if you don't use it.

That depends on your build. A DPS-centered build doesn't need VATS at all. Critical builds (ex: Energy Weapons) rely on it. On topic: This DLC is amazing, but I'm tied up in Catherine right now, so I'll finish it later. But definitely a must-buy!

This Quick Look sums up the 3 pillars of Fallout play in my opinion.
 
#1 Clever dialog and interesting setup
#2 You shoot at an enemy for 10 minutes and take of a fraction of it's lifebar. Then 3 more of those enemies appear
#3 You walk around in the empty nothingness that is the wasteland

Every time I see this game, it just reminds of how much of a disappointment it was.

Obsidian is hitting some strides once again now that the DLC related bugs and errors have been corrected somewhat. No reports of incompatibility issues or crashes, yet. If they aren't somehow involved in the next project involving the Gamebryo engine, updated to Skyrim standards or not, I'd be surprised.

Every time I see this game, it just reminds of how much of a disappointment it was.

Did Ryan "Helicopters suck" Davis just say "I'd go on a helicopter ride" @37:40 or did I mishear that?

Actually, I play most games going for crit and ranged weapons rather than DPS (and in Fallout I almost only used Energy Weapons) and still I rarely ever used VATS. I found that a nice headshot does a lot more damage than a VATS shot, which relies a lot more on percentages and probabilities rather than skill. Anyway, I'm not trying to make a fuss out of this, I'm just letting you know what my personal experience with the game was like :)

That voice over in the beginning is Liquid Snake's voice actor, I'm pretty sure!

Per Joshua Sawyers answer about companions. Due to Engine limitations the companions CANNOT be transferred to newly developed/added content. Just like new companions in Dead Money cannot be added to the original F:NV world.
Sucks, but there ya go.

The inclusion of Dr. Ventures voice was a great idea.

100% chance. They made a lot of money off of Fallout 3 GOTY that they wouldn't have otherwise.

What you should be asking, is what is the over/under that amazon will put it on sale for 40 dollars making it an unpassable value (like they did with the fallout 3 one)

You are forgetting that the gameplay for fallout is TERRIBLE and VATS allows you to avoid that in most fights if your character is set up right.

edit: and dude, did it drive anyone else crazy that ryan had rad poisoning this entire QL? And how do you not have stimpacks? I finished the game with about 100 unused stimpacks, even someone who doesn't scavenge as much as me(and I don't scavenge a lot) should have SOME stimpacks.

If you use your points and perks correctly, VATS is very, very deadly. You can end up killing even the bigger enemies entirely in VATS.

Oh, right, they played Fallout 3 and New Vegas on a console. No wonder they didn't like it.

2009 Giant Bomb was amazing. I miss those times.

I know they needed to move to a bigger office to help Whiskey Media grow, and they probably prefer working where they are now, but something has been missing since they left that basement-like office. There was more personality back then.

I love New Vegas. I just finished it and want to go through the whole thing again. Can't wait to check this one out.

New Vegas is by far better than Fallout 3, in both gameplay and story/writing

The gameplay is like exactly the same.

As for the story, I hated the whole faction stuff. Got in the way for me. The writing didn't stand out as better, either.

I didn't come to either game for the story/writing stuff anyway, it's the exploration that I love. And in that category, Fallout 3 wins hands down.

That opening voice over sounds a lot like Cam Clarke.

It's really weird having Liquid Snake talk to me about science.

Makes me wish Vinny was playing this instead. That way we could have watched an hour and a half of nothing but searching through boxes, console cheats, and clipping his way through the world.

Old World Blues is probably the funniest DLC there's been so far. Gameplay is pretty average but the characters are definitely amusing.

I may have missed it, but did they go from a basement-like office to an office-like basement? Because they're still in a basement.

Also, it hurt my soul a little bit to see Ryan shooting his AP wad into ineffective VATS shots that took off half of a sliver. You shoot at center mass when you're in a rush, man, not when time stops and you can tweak your shots. Just saying.

Also, 100 barter? Is that really necessary at the expense of your gun shooting skills? You've got 14,000 caps, I think you may be ok, not really hurting for caps all that much. You should probably max out at least one of those combat skills in the event that not all of your opponents are flea market vendors.

I still can't get over how awful these games look and play to me. I wish I could enjoy them but I hate just about every part of the gameplay, including the style and the UI. 

Dr. Venture makes EVERYTHING sound more science-y.
