Quick Look: Hacknet

I don't understand anything that's going on. I get what it is, generally, but without any preface to what any of this is/means (with few exceptions) I was lost. It's too bad, looks like it could be cool. Maybe there is a better explained look at the game elsewhere.

There are hartmonitors and pacemakers that can transmit over wifi and phone network but i havnt heard of anyone that you can send commands to but who knows. The network stuff aint in the actual pacemaker though but rather carried in a bag or something with either a nfc or a hardline connection to the pacemaker.

After this was mentioned so much in the GotY deliberations, I had to check this out. It's pretty damn cool, but definitely not something I could play myself. I'd love to watch a full playthrough by someone on the Bomb crew. The part where you get hacked and your interface gets deleted seems like a hard cut-off for anyone who was playing by using the interface rather than typing. I wonder how many people just had to stop playing there since they couldn't progress.
