Quick Look: Haunt

This game looks fun, reminds me a lot of Luigi's Mansion. Ryan rocking out on that piano also made this a great QL.

Does anyone here actually buy any of these Kinect games? Anyway, Tim Schafer is a rock star. It's good to see him getting his dues. I'd play this if I actually cared about Kinect and wanted to waste $100+

Also, I think we should all pitch in and buy Patrick a new tshirt

How interesting and odd and maybe weirdly appropriate.

I just finished this yesterday. Enjoyable and a very easy 200/200 gamerscore. It makes a fairly good use of the different Kinect features without being too annoying to control.

Hole in the Wall and Leedmees are both Kinect games for Xbox Live Arcade that I can remember. And Leedmess was actually pretty fun, at least I thought.

I was gonna say the voice acting sounds flat...

Kind of a shame if your game isn't part of some sort of XBLA promotion, it's dropped on the marketplace without so much as "hey, this is a game that's out" even as a Kinect title.

Man, this game really did just disappear off the radar. It looks kind of cool, too. What a shame that nobody marketed Haunt at all.

I have no problem with Patrick, but I prefer when they pair Ryan with Brad, a straight man and a joker, plus Ryan can be an awesome dick to Brad.

One of the most interesting Kinect games thus far. First one that made me go "aw" for not owning a sensor, at least.

I thought the ghost sounded odd, like they got some staffer to do it... Then I realized "Oh, shit, that's Tim Schafer." And I couldn't believe it, because that's too weird and dumb, and then they confirmed it! Awesome.

this quick look made the game seem enjoyable

I don't get all the people complaining about people complaining about things they don't like.

@eccentrix: I don't like that you don't like people not liking what other people don't like. People should be free to not like other people not liking things that people don't like if they don't want to... wait, what?

This actually looks pretty cool. Nanonsha/Zoe Mode/Tim Schafer (god - what a weird team up there!) REALLY seems like they figured out a great control scheme to build a Kinect adventure around. It's much more deliberately paced than typical games, but it's still slick. Moving would be a lot more of a pain if it weren't for that light-locking-onto-objects mechanic though, but since it's there, it works great. There are plenty of other actions that seem fun to do and responsive. This is easily the most impressive Kinect game I've seen yet...which is partly because most of them are so poor, and even a year out from launch, most are still just focusing on stupid mini-games. But this? This is applying that know-how, and some creative design, to get a REAL adventure working.

I want to see more Kinect games like this please.
