The viewport seems very very floaty. Almost felt nauseous looking at it.

I honestly want to see them play Mechwarrior Online more, I think that's a better game tbh... I dont know, but hawken mechs feel, well, they just don't feel to good from what I played. At least not in comparison.

Looks cool, but sorta seems like every mech controls the same and has the same weapons. Maybe it's because it's too fast to really appreciate differences between guns - or maybe it's because I'm watching, and not playing, it.

Uh..., the "HP Booster" boosts HAWKEN POINTS, not HEALTH POINTS. Hawken Points are the in-game cash for buying stuff with.

pay to win = officially lost all interest in the game. gg hawken developers.

I'm in the beta. It was kind of a cool game but I don't really see me putting in a boatload of hours into it

@Edraii: Yup. Mechwarrior Online is in open beta since Monday. People should try it. It’s certainly a more methodical game.

And also, why would they list your health or hit points, unrelated to anything your using, next to your currency? Silly GB.

That chain gun sounds great.

I couldn't get this game to run smoothly for shit. Highest settings at 1080p averaged around 14 fps. Changed all the settings to a lower resolution, turned off everything and still got the same results. I know my PC is getting on in age but my PC can play pretty much every game with decent graphical quality at 30.

hoping they take a look at Mechwarrior online at some point. I like my Mechs a bit more simmy. This definitely looks worth checking out for free though

How did Jeff fail to realize that that glowing green stuff was the energy he and his team was supposed to be collecting?

This game certainly looks interesting, but I'm not a mech guy and it still feels a little too mech-y for me. Gave my beta key to a friend though and he seems to be enjoying it.

HP is their fake-money credit system used for unlocks. (Hawken Points) The boost just means you'd earn points faster, not have more health. It's the same as buying an IP boost in League of Legends.

yeah but classically in pretty much all games HP = hit points, so it's easy to understand why they or anyone would be confused.

Glad to hear that. Didn't give a good first impression.

It's actually to the point where @Jeff should edit it in. It's an easy mistake to make, but it really ticked off a lot of users who didn't read the comments.

It is not pay to win Jeff made a mistake the HP boost is not Hit points it's their in game currency Hawken points to buy stuff he had a boost to get more of it

This game looks bad. I don't understand who the makers think this is for.

It isn't for the Mech faithful. It goes "Hey, people like Mechs right? Lets take everything people love about Mechs and Mechwarrior, and not have that in this game....good plan."

It isn't really for first person shooter lovers. I mean, there are so many first person shooters, that are 10000x better then this, I don't see what this brings to the table at all.

So I really don't see who this is for, it doesn't seem to be a good Mech game or a good FPS game, so......yea.....

because it's Mechs what's not to like, certainly much more exciting than the run of the mill COD style military shooters.

Looks like the improved from the Alpha alot. I had a ton of fun with the alpha, but stopped due to lag issues and small glitches. Expected issues, but I wanted to wait for a full release. I may have to jump into this beta before it ends!

Seems really neat for a casual "blast-dudes-in-mech-suits-until-they-die" kinda game, but I question how deep the gameplay can be. It seems (emphasis on seems) to involve just standing and shooting each other until the other guy falls over.

Please tell me HP stands for hawken points, like a cash system or something?
