The Metal Gear Addict in me was kind of going nuts at their blatant lack of knowledge about Ground Zeroes, but whatever, Metal Gear ain't really their thing.

Whenever I see Metal Gear related stuff I'm tempted to play the games, I just never find the time to commit to the franchise. I did play like 5 hours or so of Metal Gear Solid...

Well, here's some explanation:

• The message when you tried to view Elysium says that "It's currently unavailable", it doesn't state anything about region, by I presume it's because of the region though.
• Japanese MGS voice actors remain unchanged. Young snake has always been voiced by Akio Otsuka. In MGS 4, Big Boss is voiced by Akio Otsuka's actual father who in real life had estranged relationship with his son for years, until Kojima managed to reconcile them by casting them together in MGS 4. In MGS 3 and Peacewalker, Big Boss is voiced by Akio Otsuka.
• Onigiri means that rice ball, but it also literally means slicing thru Oni (demons / trolls). The main screen of that game shows a button that says 'LOGIN'
• Vinny knows his Mahjong quite well. He's secretly not Italian, but Cantonese. Which explains why he played Sleeping Dogs a lot. That prompt during Mahjong game asks you whether you wanna PONG or Cancel. When you rub her, she says "Ah, that location (is) ... ❤❤❤".
• Every MGS trailer at E3 was originally shown in English, they did the japanese dub afterwards.

Edit: I spot Chuunibyou. Also, this video was worthy my time even just for their MGS trailer chat. Everything else is just a bonus. And that Japanese store front looks pretty rad right now. Also gotta say that I'm a big fan of Battle Arena Toshinden III, got that game for free and I loved it as a kid.

Edit 2: Man, that MGS Phantom Pain trailer just got me all hyped up again. Stealth combat looks really neat (hopefully the majority of that stuff is present in Ground Zeroes, but we'll see) and those characters were super dumb and Metal Gear-y.

@vinny I looked up Dream Club on wikipedia and eyepatch girl (Mari) is apparently 'nicknamed by many patrons as "Bloody Marilyn" due to her mysterious personality.' So my guess is that, yes, she is totally a mercenary or assassin of some sort.

Vinny, I don't know if you played MGS3, but you know there were like hover scooters in there right? The series namesake itself is something you wouldn't find in a 1970s military base. That's just how these games have always been.

Lost it when Jeff started humming John Cena's theme while waving the hand in front of mahjong lady's face (I still giggle thinking about it "Sugoi!"). Giant Bomb and Japanese weirdness is always a recipe for amazing content. :D

Is it possible that you're just a big fan of your memories of Toshinden? Because those games are bad.
