Quick Look: Lovely Planet

It's okay to say motherfuck once or twice, then it just gets stupid/silly.

I saw the trailer for Lovely Planet and didn't really know what it is, but this quicklook has convinced me. The deceptive charm of the visuals and audio is great.

Dan and Drew have ascended to my favorite Quick Look pair.

Don't shoot the butts out from under things. That sounds like it's always gonna end poorly.

@danryckert novice Japanese reader- one of the text bits that came out of the enemy means "Defeated" I'm pretty sure. When you shoot the enemy bullets I think it says "Parried". When you shoot the "good" guys and it resets you, it says "Ally"

Drink ever time you hear the following:- Butt, idiot, take that, get out here. You'll be smashed in minutes!!

This is some Nintendo grade delightfulness on the PC. Looks fantastic.

@mysterysheep: Awesome :D I had no idea he composed music. I saw him live when he opened for Anamanaguchi. It was an interesting performance and Jeff's personal Hell as he had a lot of Yoshi samples.

Best part of this is Drew slyly making fun of Dans overuse of the word idiot.

So basically this;

Dan and Drew QL's should probably just have the subtitle "Butts and Idiots" from now on.

Or that one part in BioShock 2 ;)

The art style and the music were the only things that drew me in for the first half of this QL, but seeing how the challenge ramps up soon made me way more interested in the game. Definitely checking it out.

Why does the music sound like a midi version of The Cure?

Just watched Jeff playing this on the Thanksgiving stream. Matt Rory mentioned there was a QL of this and I knew I had to check it out.

As of now (Nov 29) this game is half off ($2.99 on Steam), and the OST is another $2.99 if you want it. I don't even play games on PC much, but I'm DLing this right now... Gonna jam the hell out of that soundtrack in my car.

I have the Chrome extension that replaces any text that mention the word "cloud" into "butt"... so an article mentioning iCloud would instead say iButt. Super fun.

Any way, I got super confused watching this QL because I had to continually remind myself that the extension can't replace spoken words in videos (obviously)... so I was wierded out every time Dan said "shoot the butts!"... like a constant stream of brain farts with me going "oh this extension is really advanced!" all the time.
