Quick Look: Malicious

I bought it for $8 with PS Plus. It is decent. I have spent $8 on worse.

looks really neat. i've got 10 bucks in my PSN wallet, so maybe i'll get this. I've been eyeing up Walking Dead for a while now, but would rather get the season pass and save 5 bucks.

Framerate looks dodgy at times.

Cool. Looks a lot more interesting than the 360 Arcade games of the past three to six months.

I'm not talking about this from the typical perspective of bad playing during a quick look. I genuinely don't think a skilled payer can make this fun.

Yeah, the boss with a bunch of guns, standing on an airship gives you wings.

The gameplay gets a lot more fun as you progress as each boss killed makes the rest stronger, and as a result you are forced to better use all the powers and abilities your character has access to and basically use more skill.

This game looks legit as hell, even without the "for a $10 downloadable" affix on it.

Actually the boss itself gained wings halfway through the battle. Just seems weird to show off his guns and then reveal that it's actually the wings that the player wants.

Knowing that the bosses get harder doesn't inspire confidence if the abilities the player gets don't help much in the way of adding a kind of rhythm to the battle. Quicklooks aren't always the best display of skill so I am assuming that the guys weren't showing it off. Buying this game will most likely depend on demo play.

@Lurkero: to be fair, they didn't really show off his guns. that was ryan and jeff.

Weekend Quick Look! WOO! And a look at Malicious? Sweet. I'm hella curious about this game. It looks awesome, but IGN hated it. Said things about the camera and some very unclear design - two things that are legit problems. Can't wait to see what Jeff says about it. If he gives it the okay, I'm buying it.

I really like the "vessel" idea of the character, simply for all the limb shattering effects that go on. It's cool. Sort of reminds me of Asura's Wrath, how his extra arms would keep exploding.

I watched the first 30 seconds of the combat in this, and I'm already sold. Looks awesome!

Yea I was hoping no one would point that out, I just wanted to sneak in a non sequitur griping about the lack of JRPGs on consoles this gen.

Seems like the combat from Asura's Wrath but without the crazy QTEs. Will check out the demo and maybe get it

I saw GiantBombing on PSN a couple days ago, for the first time in like a month. I am guessing they were recording this.

Cool, I remember seeing this was available in the European PSN a few months ago and have been waiting for US release. I'm gonna download this bad boy today.

Bought the game from PSN when it was still in Japanese. The game's visual style sold me, plus the idea of different weapons originating from a scarf is such a cool concept. The game has a slight Megaman vibe to it. Certain attacks are more effective on specific bosses, special QTE's when you use the right ability at the right time. Open arena styled gameplay, can be frustrating at times but its a fun game I thought.

She crushed great armies like a multitude of ants, or LIKE a multitude of ants? Confusing dialogue. A multitude of ants doesn't seem like a great army.

Unless they're giant ants.

El Shaddai is a great game. I wish GB would made a quick look, even if the game is old now.

I completely lost it when they started that first level. Oh, Japan.

I just got this on PSN+ I was disappointed by it, I think I skipped this QL ages ago and never got to watching it for fear for spoilers. Too hard for such dull gameplay for my tastes.
