Quick Look: Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes

The look reminds me of Bastion, might just pick this up.

This game actually also gets pretty difficult later.

Looks a LOT cooler than I would've thought. Might pick this up on the DS, though, I can't really see playing it while sitting still.

I downloaded the demo yesterday, and ended up buying it. I like it alot.

I really loved this game on the DS. Probably enough to buy it again on XBLA.

So yeah, this is nothing at all in any way like LOTR.

huh I always though might and magic games were like elder scrolls

Ryan's Tolkien name argument is kind of stupid. Any fantasy game that has elves in it usually in some way takes from Tolkien's template. Shit even Dragon Age's elves had Tolkien-esque names. Just how it goes.

This game looks interesting though despite having nearly nothing to do with other M&M games.

So, the "cheery little tone" that they point out in this QL sounded a lot like the "achievement unlocked" sound. Which got me thinking:

I recommend any fan of Puzzle Quest type games look into this - it has some very neat ideas.

I think the Giant bomb team is the only reason I buy 99% of other games. Without you guys i'd probably just play minecraft all day.

I wasn't horribly interested from seeing the trailer, but now I kind of want it.

Real Might and Magic (6) is coming out in June this year already.

Been waiting months for this. Love Critter Crunch by Capybara Games and this looks to have the same level of quality.

So my thought process here was, as I saw the name of the game,
I went "Oh cool, Might & Magic! Been a while.."
then "..fuck, DS puzzle crap.. oh well I'll keep watching - if the game sucks at least Mr. D and Jeff are entertaining.."
then ".. this looks okay!"
then purchased and LOVING IT!

I didn't expect much going in but this actually looks kinda neat. Think I'll pick it up this weekend.

I only know of this game because Brainy Gamer (Michael Abbott) hyped this as one of the best DS games. Glad to see it in action!

This game is actually sort of awesome. Yes, it's an affront to what Might and Magic used to be, but as a puzzle game that combines Bejewled with Heroes of Might and Magic, it does very well.

The character portrait art looks really cheap, like a bad webcomic.

I loathed Critter Crunch, but am loving the hell out of this game; really well-made puzzler with awesome strategy and rpg leanings.

That's refreshing. We often get the cleavage, but not so much the under-boob. the under-boob is under-appreciated in fantasy art.
