Quick Look: Nail'd

I had watched this the other day, but today I recalled this quick look and Ryan shouting "Jesus Christ Simulator!" and had some good laughs. I love how sometimes I get a lot of delayed enjoyment from this website.

Holy shit i thought this game would be awfull but its kinda kool.

Oh man...I was cracking the hell up all throughout this QL!!! For some reason jeffs whole "I probably should be hating this game but its fun as hell!" style remarks made me lol. Also, I was pretty impressed with the giant vertical decents of the tracks and how open it felt, yet you actually had a pretty narrow defined path to go through, noticing all the terrain "hoops" designed into the track.

I could watch people fail playing this all day long

This was insane.

I saw shitty reviews of this game, so i walked into this QL thinking it would be funny. It was certainly funny, but I WANT IT!!!! This game looks so ridiculous that I'm praising it all day. Definitely need to pick this up.

Game actually looks fun despite lackluster reviews. Awful soundtrack, but I can't really fault the developers for that. The cats who are liable to buy an ATV game on a whim are likely the same people who cruise around blasting Slipknot and other numetal garbage
 
e: Nothing sums up more clearly that this game is out to have dumb fun than the goddamn planes dragging signs that say "EXTREME." I love it

It really didn't, Ryan was dead on for me. But we can't all share the same taste.  Game looks kind of fun though, unfortunately PURE already exists and from the looks of this quick look, does pretty much the same thing better. "

Jeff was into the ridiculousness, and that made this good. They needed to yank Ryan's cynical ass and let Vinny co-pilot.

Terrible, terrible stuff, save for Queens of the Stone Age. I concur with both of them on the game. It looks kind of shitty, but it's so ridiculous that it almost kind of works.  Also, about halfway through the Quick Look, I was praising them for being all progressive and having a fair amount of female drivers amongst their AI, but then they went and made their default female racer half-naked. *sigh* "

Ryan can do whatever he want but when it comes to music, one man's trash is another man's treasure. Therefore, when I hear him constantly bash good music, I'm going to say something about it. For example, I think you have terrible taste in music and you see things completely different than me. It's just a matter of perspective. There's a big difference between critique and criticism. So when I said he should stick to criticizing games, I should of said stick to critiquing them. "

Right. Yeah. But you said it was subjective. If that's the case, then his opinion is 100% equal to yours. You can't even say that he and I have terrible taste in music, when you preface your statement by saying that it's "completely" subjective -- at least, you can't while still retaining much integrity. Stressing that music is completely subjective and then suggesting that Ryan isn't qualified to criticize (there is little difference, if any, between the words "criticizing" and "critiquing") music because his opinion is the opposite of yours is... well, it's just really, really shitty and pretty damned hypocritical.  Anyway, whatever. I'm already tired of talking about this. Ryan and I say that this game has shitty music. You say that it doesn't. No one wins. Feels like a racer form the N64 era. Sign me up. Though I'll never pay full price for it.

I was digging the music, then Ryan totally dissed it.

Jeez Louise. I have a hard enough time following a figure 8 track. This looks really frustrating. Which is a shame cos these kind of games can be really good fun.

Coming back to this quicklook (2 years later) and its still AWESOME! One of my favorites on the site! thanks Jeff and Ryan.

WOW! It's the 10 year anniversary for one of my most favorite Quicklooks on Giantbomb.com ... Nail'd .. the game still looks like shit, but vintage Ryan (RIP) and Jeff is still so heartwarming and good. Happy Anniversary Nail'd daaaaaaaaa..

this seems bad, but the crazy sensation of speed and the fast load times after u explode make it fun to watch :o

Also i don't usually laugh out loud at these videos but i lost it a lil when duality came on
