Did they hire the people behind The Rhythm of Fighters: SNK Original Sound Collection or did they rip it off completely and build its base idea, gameplay, UI, functionality a tiny bit? I'd rather buy whatever Project Diva game I have left unpurchased as this game doesn't convince me one bit, and I've had my F2P fun with TRoF:SNKOSC.

I'm with you there buddy, Persona 4 and it's games are something special.

I knew I owned a Vita for some reason.

So, timeline wise, would this take place way later from Persona 4? Because everyone looks quite a bit older.

Also, really dig Jeff's excitement over this game.

The fact that Charlie/Yu has a voice actor still creeps me out slightly for some reason.

The EBA/Ouendan style of touch based rhythm game was my favorite rhythm game system. Even just looking at it, this doesn't look quite as compelling from a gameplay perspective. Still, I do like the music an awful lot, so I might pick up a Playstation TV just to play it.

Just a few things overlooked:

• You can turn off the note and scratch sound effects if you want, or change them. Also, the L/R buttons can be used for scratches.
• You unlock different partners as you finish songs on different difficulties, and can subsequently change them.
• Two songs are only unlockable by finishing Story Mode, and so is the game's highest difficulty setting.

The game becomes especially fun on All Night difficulty and when you enable some challenging mods. Nice Quick Look!

Damn, I need this right now. Think I'll import it. Hopefully I'll still be able to access the DLC store if I do that, because I could see myself buying so much dumb DLC for this game.

This game is so much fun to play. I actually played Hatsune Miku Project Diva f 1 and 2. I really enjoy those games and kind of embraced what is Hatsune Miku is through those games. The only negative I have is it gets too complicated. Like on the surface somebody might look at Hatsune Miku gameplay wise and compare it to Dancing All Night and think Hatsune Miku is a better game to play.

The problem is you have to do stuff like tap on a button really fast, hit the opposite corresponding button (Like Triangle and Up at the same time) and have to do a lot of short tap and holds. And playing the game made me feel like there is a connect between the button prompts and the dancing.

So as somebody who played rhythm games like this recently, I would say the set up for Dancing All Night is easier to understand and overall funner since I don't have to worry about some of those weird commands.

(Also as somebody above mentioned, the hardest difficult setting wasn't displayed yet. And if Dancing All Night is like the Hatsune Miku games, there is a pretty big jump between Hard and Extreme/Dancing All Night difficulty)

I bought the collector's edition just to make sure I got that double-disc soundtrack. And surprisingly the game is pretty fun, too from the two hours I played last night.

The actual dancing is really lame looking.

Since no one has mentioned it yet, I might as well. The character Kanami has been referenced before in the original Persona 4 as the idol they set up to replace Rise after she left. It's mentioned by her manager as part of her social link.

Nanako and Yuu dancing is perhaps the most adorable thing I've seen in a good long while.

Wow, the franchise where I learned of Laura Bailey and Troy Baker before they went on to voice literally every other game.... no longer has them. The one place I want them!

This was one of the harder quick looks to watch at work

Persona 4 and Giant Bomb go together like chocolate and peanut butter.

I <3 P4 and its cast a lot lot lot, but they just seem to have milked this thing dry. It feels like Season 8 of a sitcom that probably should have stopped at 4 or 5.

I should not get nostalgic for a game I first played and watched get let's played in 2011. I am MOVED by this dumb fanservice thing.

Jeff being hype as heck for this game was great. This seems cool, but I've never been a big rhythm game fan and I'm not sure I'm willing to spend $50 on one right now... Even for this.

This game looks not that fun. It's cool they've made more P4 stuff but too bad most of it I don't want to play.

I'm really tempted to grab this for my PSTV (my Persona machine), but you just know it's gonna get re-released on Playstation 4 in full HD. You don't put something this popular out on the platform that makes people say, "Oh wow, games are still coming out on that?"

Also, that DLC plan is aggressive as hell. There are individual songs in there that cost $5.

@kawiji: Yep, that's how GB captured this Quick Look. I've been playing the Japanese version on my VitaTV since it came out with a PS4 controller, and the only issue I've found is that there is a bit of input lag if you set the console to 1080i. 720p works pretty much flawlessly though.
