Dan is probably the first person to refer to the Statue of David as "that guy holding his dork"

He's probably the first person to call a penis a dork.

Youtube is letting me down, but I immediately thought of Peter Boyle in Johnny Dangerously saying "Take it easy?! I'm standing here with my dork in my hand!!"

You know, I like Dan, I really do. He seems like a really awesome and amiable dude. However, I never ever want to hear him speak his opinions on movies or else he'll drive me insane.

Yep, bit clunky because hey, old adventure game but it's great and feels very Blade Runner.

Lock all the doors in your house and place all the keys out in the open in random places throughout your house and yard. It's the perfect home defense system!

I am becoming more and more concerned that Dan is simply some type of alien pod human trying to piece together memories of the real Dan.

Guys, before you go saying that Dan needs to see Blade Runner, keep in mind, this is Dan. Does Blade Runner seem like something he'd like? I mean, I love Blade Runner, but even I admit, that movie is pretty boring if you're not into it. For all I know, maybe he would really like it, but just keep in mind that like many people, Dan has his own particular (and sometimes strange) opinions and tastes. And that saying it in the comments isn't going to magically make it happen.

Hell, I love basically everything about Blade Runner (sci-fi noir, Shitty Future, androids, etc) but think the movie itself is actually pretty bad.

There's no wresting in it, so of course he won't be interested.

Hmmm.. a wrestling themed horror game.. ghosts, vampires and creepy pale faced girls are attacking you with suplexes and piledrivers.

Yes, finally someone who has the same feelings as me about Blade Runner! On paper Blade Runner should be my favourite movie ever. I love the soundtrack, I love all the themes the movie is about, I love slow moving sci-fi, and the ending is fantastic. But for whatever reason I do not like the movie itself. It's one of my biggest pop culture mysteries, along with how on Earth I can't get into Tom Waits' music.

@shagge: There's slow games, and then there's bad game design. This is the latter. I mean, the only thing you do for the first four days here is collecting keys. Who thought that was a good idea...

I'm kind of intrigued to find out what the game is supposed to use to determine "your deepest fears". Sure, it is probably absolute nonsense, or not functional, but I would love to know what is supposed to be happening. Unless it is actually working and the game sussed out that Drew's fear is that he is wasting his life.

Aw man I was actually interested until they showed the day/night cycle was fake and based on your progress. A game like Scratches with a day/night cycle and a dynamic environment would be really neat.

Rewatching the beginning, they totally look at that exact painting, but it must not trigger until the later day. WHY WOULD YOU PUT IT IN A ROOM YOU HAVE ACCESS TO RIGHT AWAY? Wouldn't THAT be when most people look at it? Why would you go look at it again randomly on another day?! Getting the prompt to go look at it immediately takes away any scare factor!

@dusker@atomic_dumpling

Maybe you're going into it expectating too much of it, or thinking that you'll love every second of it. I think Blade Runner is a great movie but it's very much a movie about a destination and not so much a journey. After you've seen it and understood the points it's trying to make, theres not much need to rewatch it too often. it's like playing Gone Home over and over again.
