uhh have you seen them play any other sports games? They are like that about almost all of them.

Not only are Vinny and Jeff fumbling with a sports game, but fumbling with one they probably know even less about! I love it.

@BrianP: They where a little harsh on the NHL QL but that was it. And it wasn't even close to the beating this got.

But soccer is boring to watch, my country plays soccer, hell, I myself play soccer sometimes but it's boring as hell to watch.

Also what the hell was that nonsense list of English teams, it was a bunch of made-up or pub teams and then just Man United was the only actual premier league team on there. This game seems so ghetto with its licensing stuff. Man Blue? Seriously? This is like going into one of those chinese bootleg shops.

What I'd love to see is a QL of the PS2 port of Fifa 13. Pretty crazy they're still releasing the Fifa games for the previous generation of consoles when we're about a month away from the next, and most likely only a year away from the next MS and Sony consoles.

I love that Jeff and Vinny are the defacto sports game duo. <3

I used to be very "pro-American football/anti-soccer", but hanging out regularly in a British-tinged bar that usually had soccer going on as many big screen TVs as American football gave me a chance to learn and appreciate its flow and eccentricities, to the point where I'd rather watch a good Premier League matchup than an NFL game.

(The knowledge that a good percentage of the players in the NFL game I'd watch would end up suffering life-altering brain damage/physical ailments -- possibly leading to suicide -- also helped to turn me away from American football.)

EDIT: Just realized I forgot to try to answer the question. I think part of the anti-soccer mentality may be a result of something as basic as the score multiplier in football. "Soccer's so boring, games are like 1-0 or 2-1." Yeah, but you know that 21-14 football game you're so excited about? That's really just 3-2.

@simkas: What are opinions? I'm not in sports in general also but i just don't understand and dislike how Americans are so harsh to the game. I really don't care to be honest but don't think that if you don't find it fun to watch there aren't billions(thats with a b) that don't think this is the best sports game to watch/play.

I dont think anyone is expecting jeff and vinny to be like that, yes they do have some contempt for all sports and that's why they are doing most of the sports quick looks. I just dont understand why in the comments their is so much hate for a sport billions of people love, including myself. You wont see this type of divisiveness on the MLB or Madden quicklook.

Oh man this game is like a FIFA game from like 7 years ago. No smooth animation, no decent commentary and silent crowds.

Those collisions are terrible, and is it Jeffs time of the month or something? He spent so much time complaining instead of looking at the tutorial lol.

I don't play football games, but I can see why people say Fifa is better than PES these days, this game looks like crap.

People who are like me and like football (soccer), chill. I know Vinny and Jeff don't like it, therefore they're not gonna be serious about it. So don't get mad. I love football and I can admit that some games are in fact terribly boring to watch. On the other hand, I hate watching basketball and baseball but when they do a quick look of one of those games I don't go: "Yeah, take it sport I don't like". So there's no reason for us the "football people" to get upset. This quick look is still hilarious and I wish that Vinny and Jeff keep doing the sports quick looks. Sorry about my english, I'm from Brasil.

@groposo: It's not about them linking it or being fans. They dismiss the whole sport for no reason. And by they i mean Jeff, Vinny at least tried to not be too harsh. I mean they said some thing about the NHL game also but nothing like this.

I feel like this is the most unrealistic soccer game ever. Where are the players writhing in pain on the ground after being lightly grazed on the shoulder?

LOL yeah. PES is pretty terrible though. Just none of the pace, fluidity and amazing commentary\crowds that make FIFA my favourite game of the past few years and I didnt even watch soccer before I played FIFA 10. It was so good I actually started following the EPL.

During the first 15 minutes of the QL, I thought this was a text adventure/soccer game

EA or Konami needs to add in a "soccer WAGs" mechanic.

I gotta say, Vinny was actually doing pretty well for someone who doesn't know anything about this sport. He understood the very first rule of football which is to pass the ball, cause it's a team game, whereas Jeff was just trying to run with the ball constantly and therefore losing it.

Need to do a FIFA QL but get rid of Jeff. Atleast Vinny was having fun, Jeff just went in with the I hate anything I don't understand attitude. But to be fair this game really sucks.

No matter how good PES mechanics are, i will still never buy it until they get team.

This is a pretty entertaining quicklook.

Also usefull because i usually play fifa and now i know that i don't want to buy pes 2013.

This game needs more sick dunks.

Sports game menus are terrible and insane.

I do believe QL should serve as an interesting introduction to the game, having played PES and FIFA myself, this QL doesn't capture what's interesting about them. Funny ? Yes. Interesting ? Doubtful.

Edit: also didn't Brad watch football (soccer) on occasion? wish he was around.

The framerate is horrific, is this a retail copy of the game?!

The way that Džeko is written, DŽ would be pronounced like J in Joker. Jeko. Not Dee-zeko.

I really wish they would take sports games seriously. Otherwise what is the point of the QL. They never know what they are talking about, and they just make fun of the games. Its rather disappointing.

Jeff's blatant disapproval and ignorance of soccer saddens me. I hated soccer games too and couldn't care less about them before I knew how to play them and now I actually like soccer. But this was fun to watch none the less.

Thats just dirty play usually for time wasting or to trick the reff that they fouled you. But it has reduced dramaticly lately with the ref giving divers cards now. And when someone does dive they are talked about in the media alot and get booed at games

I don't get why Jeff is hating on soccer. The soccer videogames are boring IMO, but the sport itself is great, greater than american football aka "handegg" will ever be. There is a reason why football/soccer is played worldwide, except for america where they still use miles and yards and pounds,,,and play ice hockey lol. In the eyes of the rest of the world, america is the strange fellow.

Baseball and basketball are great sports too, don't get me wrong.

I'm pretty sure that Vinny understands the offside rule (on a basic level) but didn't say anything so they could continue the "this is a sports game, lets act like clowns" routine. The joke is getting a little thin.

I think it's about time Vinny starting getting into the soccer universe. I wish I had some novels to recommend.

I dislike American Football as much as the next guy but leave Ice Hockey out of it atleast they dont have to pause for everytime they do something or for ads like how am I supposed to take your sport seriously when you stop play for a ad break.
