I think this looks reasonably good actually. Entertaining enough for sure, and the game world looks alright. I might try it when the price comes down: I expect Steam will do some kind of sale with Prototype 1 & 2 at some point around Christmas.

I'm having a blast with the game. If you liked the first Prototype it's right up that alley, but a bit better in my opinion.

Basically. I liked that game but Prototype has always seemed a little worse to me, whether it's because of the story or the characters or maybe just rose tinted glasses, I dunno

Hey, it looks like Prototype. Liked the first one and this looks ok but I can't see myself buying it.

He likes eating people but hates everything else.

Looks really good. Granted, it doesn't seem to stray very far from the first one but I pretty much loved that in all its trashy bloodbath glory. Just so much fun, ridiculous powers and very motivating progression with a nice and heavy dose of paranoid conspiracy theories thrown in.

I'm going to get this on PC I think. Some of my remaining doubts would be the apparent lack of a "web of intrigue"-like feature, which I enjoyed in the first one, and the possibly slightly weaker protagonist. On first glance I just don't seem to like Heller as much as Mercer but that's a minor concern in a game such as this.

Other than those new mini-boss enemies and a new skin for the protagonist this game looks identical to the first Prototype.

The flying and running up buildings looks super fun. Yeah, a little too much like Prototype 1, but I don´t really care.

Also, Jeff plays this game like a pussy. Just jump in there and get dat anger out brah!

I loved Crackdown 2, that said, I'll probably enjoy Prototype 2 a fair bit.

I played prototype on PC for cheap recently and really enjoyed it. Its just a game that prioritizes fun. I will definately check out the sequel if I get a good deal on it. Honestly, I would rather play an open world game like prototype then something like GTA4, which I found insufferably tedious at times.

I was one of the few who really loved Prototype, only reason I never played Infamous is no ps3 lol. Pretty lame it doesn't come out on PC till July.

I really enjoyed Prototype despite almost everything besides the gameplay being kinda shit. It was just a game focused on you having fun.
 
I just picked up a copy of this today and I'm looking forward to getting into it.

Four Quick Looks in two days? God, it's awesome to have Vinny and Drew back.

Best opening

Jeff summed up my feelings on P2 with a statement he made in the middle of the video, "It's not a great game, but I'm having fun with it." It's extremely similar to the original, but the combat feels a lot better. I enjoyed the shield parrying in this game quite a bit. The traversal elements are still great and continue to evolve throughout the game. My biggest gripe with the game is that the mission types get pretty repetitive, mostly because the side quests are usually so similar to the main story content. This game is kinda perfect for the lull before the storm of Max Payne 3 and Diablo 3.

The HUD looks like Mickey Mouse.

Lol Jeff went through all the trouble of being stealthy and then after 10 minutes of it and almost getting to the end he walks right in front of the sensors with his claws equipped.

I suppose all the missions sucks since people aren't too hyped? i got pretty interested looking at this. I'm on the final mission of Just cause 2, after beating every faction mission in the game because it was such fun, and it looks like this is more of that crazy, superhuman open-world movement.

With the first Prototype, I was so frustrated with it at the end by all the shit they kept throwing at you constantly.

The boss fight in time square took me 4 tries and around 40 minutes on the successful try, of just doing hit and run attacks by divebombing on the boss and then running away to get health. I tried to capture helicopters to shoot it, but they kept getting destroyed before I could jack them.... In fact, one of them flew out of the mission area while I was trying jack it, meaning that I had to restart the mission.

The final bossfight with the time limit took me a good 10 tries as well and by that point it was 4 a.m. and I just wanted to get done with the game.

In the end, Prototype stands out as the most frustrating game experience for me in this generation. It had some kind of addictive element of progression that kept me playing, but at the same time it felt super cheap.

This is what keeps me from getting Prototype 2.
