I've had this collection since late May and I've yet to play it, bought every single game in the franchise so that I could play them again and just forgot during the summers... whoops? Anywho, best franchise of all time for me, love it to bits.

The PS3's motto should be: "Remember the PS2?"

Next generation, they're going to have to re-release all these collections, because the PS4 won't be backward compatible.

This is one series of games that I just don't get tired of. Even the PS3 games are fun every time I play them. Can't wait to play these again.

They didn't include Deadlocked even though that was on the PS2 also.

good job, whoever I should blame for that.

Idol Minds was working on Ruin/Warrior's Lair for PS3 and Vita. It's Bluepoint Games that was doing all the high quality HD remasters, but they're currently working on the Vita version of Playstation All-Stars.

All these collections just remind me how fucking awesome the PS2 was. I was a Sly guy back in the day but I still loved Ratchet as well.

I may play this at some point, as I love the Ratchet series but haven't really played 2&3 much. I've played the shit out of the first game, though, plus the PS3 games.

Always happy to see some love for a Crack in Time, too. I thought that was an incredible game, and the puzzle elements were mind bending but extremely fun and rewarding once you figured out what you were doing. In fact, it was probably my favourite game in the series.

Huh, I just looked and saw that Insomniac is developing the new Ratchet game, I thought that they were moving on from the series?

Imo Up Your Arsenal still remains the best RnC, shame Jeff didn't show it off as well.

Deadlocked is getting it's own stand alone release as a download-only. Might get a disc release in Europe/Aus tho for discount.

Seriously, good job. That was easily the weakest of the PS2 Ratchet games.

I still have the first one on my PS2.
Love that game. Played it so many times.
Never had any interest in the others, probably because they were releasing them so often, but I played crack in time on PS3 and thought that one was pretty good too.

Love Arsenal and Commando. Arsenal just took everything great about the first two and refined them into a wonderful gem of greatness. Weapon XP started in the second one, which is weird, considering how important that became to the series. I've liked them all to varying degrees, but the original doesn't quite hold up and Deadlocked was...disappointing. Crack in Time was pretty damn great, though.

This is a great collection. The three games for 30 bucks is a great deal. They look great and play great. Plus the online in UYA is a lot of fun. I haven't grown tired of the Ratchet and Clank games yet, and I hope they make another single player adventure one day. I would love for the story to continue in some way.

You should try Up Your Arsenal. It's basically why A Crack in Time was so great.

I picked this up when it first came out in Sweden.

It has a few glitches, but it's an excellent set of games and I recommend it to ANYONE who hasn't played these games before, and also to anyone who has.

They made a ton of big changes between one and two. That's when they introduced weapon levels, strafing and character upgrades.

I loved the PS2 games but I'm pretty much done with the franchise. I played a bit of the PS3 games and I've just had my fill. Still fine games though.

It's downloadable and has a big multiplayer component similar to the one that was in the third game. It seems like more of a stopgap measure while they figure out what to do with Overstrike and future projects.

Yeah I'm honestly not sure how I feel about that. I don't see myself playing the MP much, but I hope that the single player is at least a significant part of the game. Hopefully they don't get reuse the single player levels as the multiplayer maps.

Though honestly, I'm just kind of happy to see that the over the shoulder camera is back. While I kind of like All 4 One, I was never able to get used to the camera in it. Ratchet has always felt very precise in his movements to me, and taking that away, even just in a small way like that, just turned me off.

This is a bad quick look because it only shows one game. The series got better as it went on with the introduction of leveling up weapons, better controls and level design.

Sure, but once you've played one you've played them all really. Other than the leveling they all play pretty much the same and if you like what you see with the first one then you'll probably like the rest.

NO! There´s a huge jump in quality from 1 to 2 and they introduce the better control scheme (in my opinion) in part 3. The third person shooter controls and increased emphasis on shooting changed this series into something entirely different. 1 and especially 2 are pretty good games though, and I think it´s worth it to see how much this series has changed.

Easily the best $30 I've spent on games all year. by a MILE. Had so much fun replaying 1-3 that they jump-started me on replaying the PS3 titles as well.

Super excited for Deadlocked to hit PSN this year, so I can finally get a chance to play it. Now that I'm not 14, I will probably be able to look past the lack of platforming and enjoy the solid action I've read is contained within.

(Also, replaying the PS3 titles is helping me through the hell that is waiting for Borderlands 2 :D)

Agreed I can't believe they only played 1, 2 is the best one and if they played it they would know that the levelling weapons came in 2 not on the PS3.

I don't understand why they only played one of the three games, it's a collection, and without trying them it is impossible to tell that all 3 got ported to the same quality, and even if they did (which I suspect) it would be super interesting to see the evolution of the series over time in a condensed video format.

WHY??

Yeah. It was kind of annoying the times Patrick said that it must have been something introduced for the PS3 games. To be fair he hadn't played the original games though. I think they would have found out they were wrong if they actually showed off the other two games on the disc instead of only playing the first one.

Insomniac had the skill points all the back to Spyro on the PSOne. I dont think they were in Spyro 1, but im pretty sure they were in Spyro 2 and they were definitely in Spyro 3.
