Saw the price on Steam and was less enticed. I have a hard time believing this is a $40 game...

I want to live in a world with arcades.

Have played about 5 hours of this and have really enjoyed it.

Does this mean we get a new Blood soon? More souls for the ever-growing army of the undead. A pistol that sets people on fire. Only trumped by the stake gun in Painkiller.

They played it on UPF a few weeks ago.

Why? I've played full price games that have way less to them than this. There's a lot of game here, and it's all solid.

I can't wait to get this bad boy. I never even played the original and this game is giving me some crazy nostalgic flashbacks to the early 90s just by being a fun, silly first person shooter.

Actually Ki is pronounced KEE... in Japan. But because Lo Wang is Chinese he'd totally say Chi. So either is okay.

Edit: Nunchaku are illegal in the state of California UNLESS you are practicing at a martial arts school...Jeff is right about that. Last I checked. Laws do change. They might be banned completely now for all I know.

Does the performance of the game seem excruciatingly bad for anyone else in this video?

It's like the were guys playing this on a PC intended for playing the original Shadow Warrior or something? I know the actual game runs much smoother than this.

As for the Bruce Lee films:

- Enter the Dragon is the most famous one (bear claw dude and mirror room)

- Way of the Dragon (Return of the Dragon) is the one where he fights Chuck Norris in the Colosseum.

- Game of Death was never completed (the one where he fights Kareem Abdul-Jabbar)

- Fist of Fury is the one where he annihilates the Japanese Dojo

- The Big Boss was Lee's breakthrough film where he fights drugs smugglers.

How could they miss that one of the arcade was Hotline Miami!

It is a bit of a bummer that the first two guns are hitscan weapons and kinda "meh" in terms of performance and upgrades. Dual wielding that machine pistol feels lackluster. The third gun you get is a crosbow.

Also I would have liked if the levels didn't feel so constraint. The 1997 Shadow Warrior felt more "open" at times than this one.

This game actually looks alright.

I was actually yelling at my computer when they missed that. I think they did look at it during Unprofessional Friday though.

Also, I don't think that static statue was a character from borderlands, but was from hard reset.

Shadow Warrior is seriously the most fun I've had in an FPS in a long time, even moreso than Blood Dragon and Gunslinger. It's really goddamn good.

Awesome stuff. This is one of the few games that I'd be willing to buy at full price.

Sure, if you want to blast through it on Casual it will only take 10 hours. I on the other hand played on Hard and spent a good amount of time secret hunting and I ended up getting 24 hours of gameplay out of the campaign.

Also, because the combat is so fun there's definitely replay-ability there.

Fun fact: Republican saint Ronald Reagan signed the nunchuck ban when he was Governor of California in the '70s.

I think I'm 70% into the game right now and I can safely say that it's one of the most enjoyable FPS I have played in the past years.

Really underrated game and I think it doesn't get that much coverage (I haven't seen that many reviews of it), but I think this happens because it's only on PC (controversy! ^^).

I've played a couple hours (never played the original) and it's dumb, goofy fun with some very wry humor. And Brad missed a great fortune cookie on that arcade desk. I only killed one rabbit and didn't get that hilarious aside so I'll have to try and make that happen.

I'm about 75% through this game and I love it. The sword is definitely the star of the game, most of the guns feel almost a bit useless, even my kick-ass shotgun. Still, I think this is one of the best FPS this year.

It seems like using nunchucks is a surefire way to hurt yourself and literally nobody else. It also seems like a surefire way to look like a tool.

When brad killed that rabbit It was like a fucked up Watership down.
