@claybrez: 90% of this game is just the joke of the premise. The gameplay is arguably enough to carry that premise. What more could one want out of a game for $1? I mean, you're going to be able to tell just from looking at one screenshot if you think the joke is funny or not.

It's not the value proposition that bothers me, its the fact that it garners more attention than other small projects with actual creativity and effort behind them. It's just a bummer. It's not a great injustice, and people aren't even necessarily wrong to like it, its just how I immediately feel upon seeing this receive a quicklook.

(P.S. respect to GB for actually bringing a lot of deserving small titles to the surface, like The Fall. I don't think ill of the gbeast for quicklooking this, they're just doing their job by covering an already talked about game)

Also because the trailer was incredible and deserves my dollar.

Quick Look would have been better saved for a Dan and Paul special :P

This is possibly the dumbest game I have ever seen, and I'm still not sure if I mean dumb good or dumb bad.

I should clarify. By internet pandering I mean it's catering to a certain sensibility of randomness and vulgarity that embodies a lot of what the internet responds positively to, not saying it's a direct set of references or anything.

So somebody made a 2 day game jam with subject matter guaranteed to get coverage...smart, I guess. Seems basic even for $1 though.

This looks better than I ever thought it would and seems like a reasonable enough game for the price point.

@claybrez: Comedy is hard. I'm not going to say that this game is less valuable (not dollar wise, but artistically) than another game just because it's a joke game rather than a "serious" game or a mechanics-heavy game. Also a throwaway joke game like this is going to be a lot easier to consume than a more complex or deeper game, so it's going to have a broader appeal if the joke happens to hit with enough people.

It's not "stealing" attention from other games. It earned its attention.

Yeah, I realize that it has broader appeal due to the humor aspect, that's kind of the problem. I don't have any problem with comedy games inherently, but this is just a dick joke. Like, literally nothing more. When it comes right down to it I'm criticizing audiences more than I am this game. This game is unremarkable in nearly every regard but since there are pixel dicks people will lose their shit over it. I really don't see it being any other way.

So we are all on a list for watching this, right? For the record, I watch ALL beast content, no matter what.

Some really weird comments here for sure - almost like it's impossible for people to separate nudity from sex. At least around here, it's pretty standard that kids will shower with their parents, be it at home before the sauna or at some spa before swimming. Usually, boys with their dads and girls with their moms. And it's not really limited to your own family either - I've gone to the sauna with a school mate, his parents and his big sister when I was staying over at his place back when I was like 10. In large communal saunas though, you tend to wear swimming trunks or etc.

It's no Rinse and Repeat, but it's still pretty fun.

This seems fine, but I've had my fill via the video. Even if some of the dads in that trailer are intriguing.

There is no sexual content here. There is no incestuous content here. Parents bathe with their young children, that's normal. (Maybe not in front of the sheer volume of dads, I'll grant you.)

I'd recommend Jim Sterling's squirty play video of this game. It demonstrates the oddness and the fact it's not (just) a dick joke much better than this quick look did.

Wasn't there a version of this game that was first person perspective?

I'm just sad they didn't add Ultra and EX to the beginning and end of the game's name.
