Looks interesting, at first glance (before starting the video) it made me excited that there may actually be another JRPG coming to consoles, but it's a rails-shooter, alas.

Still doesn't look bad for a rails shooter, but it kind got my hope up, sadly.

Is this game what Nintendo considers "hardcore"?  Or at least for the "hardcore gamer"?  Hmm...

I heard one of the bosses is pretty similar.

I'm buying this as soon as I get home. This is the right kind of rail shooter; the kind where you control character movement. Much more fun than House of the Dead or that Resident Evil rail shooter.

Treasure is my all time favorite developer.  I am super excited about this game, but what I really want is an HD remake of Radiant Silvergun, like they did with Ikaruga.

Hilarious! Perfect Vinny&Ryan Co-op game.

The controller-switching acrobatics they pulled off-camera must have been funny to watch for Drew, I bet. :)

Is it just me or does this game seem like it should be in 3D? The first few minutes just looked like they were designed with 3D in mind with stuff flying at the screen and weird perspectives that weren't quite clear.

Going to go and pick this game up tomorrow.  Really glad Nintendo went and brought this game to Virtual Console.

Awesome. I was a bit in the air of picking up S&P II for awhile there, but now after watching the quick look it has me reminiscing about space harrier and panzer dragoon a bit. And since Treasure hasn't let me down lately I'll be sure to pick this up. Now if only they'll finish Project RS3 or make a hi-res Radiant Silvergun.

Looks fun, not too sure on the camera multiplayer. It wouldn't work with two full characters I guess and so it's better than nothing. I guess you could let your little sister play as 2P.

Man, do I love some nice bullet rain games. Maybe you guys should try their hand at Touhou. It would be entertaining to say the least.

Surprised to hear all these negative comments, Sin & Punishment is awesome. Treasure really know how to mix things up without resorting to drip-feeding you abilities throughout the game.

Bought this game and I don't regret it. They probably wanted to make the graphics more simple so that the game could run at 60 fps while have a ton of bullets/missles/enemies on the same screen without slowing down. I do know in the Nintendo channel interview for this game, keeping the game at 60 fps was the biggest challenge for them while having enough things going on on-screen to make it hectic and crazy. It might not live up to "standard graphics" today, but this game is freakin fun and that's what matters most importantly. Any Wii owner should buy this D:.

@Landon: What...? What...? How exactly is that?

This, exactly, is how that is: Bayonetta's game play is fast paced with little down time and consists of rapid action, multiple target attacks in an over the top, super exaggerated and colorful environment that may be unsuitable for epileptics populated by giant crazy bosses.

Since Bayonetta isn't on Wii, then Sin & Punishment: Star Successor is the Wii's answer to Bayonetta, just like I wrote.

And that, exactly, is how that is.

You know what else consists of rapid action with multiple targets and super exaggerated colorful environments? Almost ever bullet hell shooter ever made. If your super vauge in gameplay like that you can call any game an answer to another game. Look, I'll do it.

Mario Galaxy 2 was an answer to Haze. Why? Both games feature single player gameplay taking place in a variety of environments consisting of defeating enemys. See? Its not that hard.

Bayonetta has ONE on rails part in the vein of this, that's the only thing they have in common.
