It seems like goo puzzles aren't just "fill this shape" but "replicate this shape" - goo outside of the shape is penalized. That's why they spent so much time with the meter right near the boundary, their attempts to fill the last traces of empty space were meaningless compared to the huge globs on the bottom and top.

on the get go they should done something Alex did already then move on something new. So Alex wasn't trying to give them solution

I've heard the name "Snipper Clips" maybe a hundred times in the last month or so and up to this point I assumed it was some sort of hair-cutting game

This game looks great. Seeing them struggle kinda makes you want to play it but I'm still not buying a Switch.

Well this thing just keeps going.

To be frank. I didn't get along with this game very well watching the QL. To the point, it's not contributing to pull of the Zelda game for me to buy a Switch, though I really liked the Zelda QL. It seems well done, mind you.

But perhaps down the road, I see more games, I may finally buy a Nintendo console. I would not mind something different from what I mostly play now.

As it turns out, watching other people try to solve puzzles is frustrating. lol

it's amazing that after like 8 years of giant bomb people still expect perfection in their quick looks/features, watch the videos, and then voice their displeasure at how long it takes for these nerds to either 1. get it right the first time or 2. expect personalities to shift.

vinny and dan were always gonna not immediately get the obvious answer. alex was obviously going to be who he is and try to take the 'straight man' route and get the puzzles done quickly.

i get that people want to offer feedback or call these guys out on some of the dumb shit they do but for the most part we know what to expect and it seems like a lot of people just come back to say how upset they are that they didn't utterly crush the game they're playing

if i wanted pay $50 a year to watch a charismatic beautiful man utterly crush a game beneath his hooves i'd find a twitch streamer to subscribe to or something. i watch these men because they're usually as dumb as i am, make me feel smart when i figure something out before they do and amaze me when they do the opposite. they make me laugh when their schemes work and when they don't. and there's no politics to the shit that they do.

I'm not completely certain I'd call this a puzzle game. It seems a little too freeform to call it that.

Incidentally, I'd play it.

This was fun, but Alex's backseat driving was so frustrating! I'm guessing they had a lot to get through that day so asked him, as a more experienced player, to sit in and hurry things along? It would have been better if Vinny and Dan had been left to work things out at their own pace.

Alex sounds like that jealous kid that would have wanted to be a part of this but has no friends so he did it by himself and now he is trying to spoil the fun for the other kids. (the first 20 min)

I get it though, must be infuriating to watch other people try shit you know how to do :D

Man, the last half hour of this should be nominated for a best animated short award. It may be my favourite comedy cartoon of the year.

Weirdly, I wasn't too infuriated, I just found it funny. Normally puzzle incompetence gets to me, but I've played a bunch of this, and other than their weird reluctance to reshape as needed, this game specifically builds its controls to create that sort of frantic confusion, so I got the fun in it. Cool stuff.

The Switch needs more of these quirky portable-esque games. These sort of games are what made the DS (and Wii) such awesome consoles.

I've played this solo and I have no idea what these guys are talking about saying this a bad single-player game. It's great solo. Don't let your personal preferences say things that aren't true.

I remember seeing this when it was Friendshapes at EGX several years ago. Thought it was pretty cool back then. Some good independent British development. It's nice they've been thrown a branch by Nintendo, and as a launch-ish game on their new console.

I wanna keep watching this forever just because of the facial expressions of the... the things. They're incredible!

Someone export the audio from this QL, give it to an animator that has never heard of this game and just see what happens.

The expressions of the Snipperclip people make me think of something like Gumball, I dig the aesthetic!

I hope Alex doesn't think he was making this Quick Look better by doing what he was doing. This could have been a great Quick Look.

On the positive side, this game looks awesome.

People sure are sensitive! Alex's commentary was just fine and his comments about "that's not how I solved it" were more out of an incredulity at their solutions, rather than a statement on how his were somehow better. It was a fun video.

Rough comment section, I thought the QL was pretty fun. The last 20 mins or so especially with the goo and box were hilarious.

This was nerve wracking, but in a good way!
