umm Guys... hate to tell you but "Metal Sonic" as you call the blue metal sonic in this video... he was in Sonic and Knuckles, yes first appearance was in Sonic CD but Sonic Team put him in Sonic and Knuckles!

P.S. I still like "Silver Sonic" at the end of Sonic 2 better.

It seems almost criminal that they didn't implement a Chao Garden into this. Easy way to drum up the playtime about 20 hours. That said, I really hope the PC version is up to snuff.

Regarding Patrick's comments about the difference in focus between old and new Sonics, I have to say I feel the opposite. Old Sonic placed far more emphasis on exploration and skill, and from knowing the level and getting good at it came the element of speed. Modern Sonic is much more about GO FAST FAST FAST BOOST FAST and linear pathing, which works, but is definitely not focused on exploring. I will concede that Sonic Adventure had a lot of exploration elements in it, but they sort of lost it after that.

I like it! Cool boss fights, Knuckles challenge was dumb but whatever. I dig it.

So just like Sonic Colors the music seems top notch! And just like with that game, that together with the nice mixed gameplay actually makes me want to buy it. This time its for a console I actually care about tho... gah. Can't afford this! damn it! Might just wait and get my hands on the soundtrack if I can I guess

This looks infinitely more interesting to me than any other Sonic game has in years. Loving the art style and animation quality. And that funky music.

Why do you collect rings in sonic if you just lose them when you get hit?

This game was pretty good for a Sonic game, first new Sonic game in a long time. I haven't really enjoyed a Sonic game since SA2 (Hated Sonic 4, Colors was meh), yet still found this game to be a blast.

The cutscene before the final boss is a truly amazing thing.

Why is Patrick Klepek on every goddamn QL?

Sonic has always had great art and music direction, and for better or worse the gameplay is like nothing else out there. They've started putting some proper effort in over the last couple of years and it really shows - they're actually making pretty good Sonic games again.

I would recommend this to anyone who has ever enjoyed a Sonic game, and hopefully the next game will appeal to those who haven't too.

Old Sonic in the screenshot from the QL looks like Mickey Mouse to me for some reason.

Wow, it seems Sonic Team has turned over a new leaf since Sonic Colors! This game looks pretty great! The music is also incredible; anyone know if they plan on selling the soundtrack?

I think I might get this!

Also, they should have had Dr. Robotnik and Eggman team up to take Sonic down in this game!
