From what I played in the beta, I had tons of fun. If I weren't saving up to build myself a new PC, I would have totally gotten this game. Love the blend it has.

THANK YOU GIANT BOMB! I knew I could count on you guys! Everyone else completely brushes off the single player campaign; but for me, that's the selling point here. I connect to the internet with my PS3 thru Wifi and that's finnicky at the best of times; currently, my internet is garbage and my PS3 won't even connect. Haven't been able to for two months, so multiplayer holds no interest for me. Not to mention, the heavy, almost forced, focus on teamplay means that the majority of games online would probably suck - even though it's PS3 and I've encountered way more team players (and just better players in general) than I ever did on Xbox Live. I wanted to see Starhawk's campaign in detail, and no one was doing that. So thank you, Jeff and Brad. I now know that I want this, but that perhaps the single player isn't quite good enough to justify a purchase at $60. I'll hold off until I see it for $40 or $30, methinks.

I DO feel bad for it though. It really reeks of the same hype that Twisted Metal had; that is to say, not a lot. Sony has a habit of making killer exclusives, but then they come out and are quickly forgotten. Unlike Mass Effect 3 or Skyrim or something, where people talk about them (and buy them) weeks after they come out. I think Sony needs to promote games better; I was following Starhawk and all they talked about and focused on the entire year leading up to release was multiplayer. They only mentioned single player, for the first time, a few weeks ago. There's nothing there for gamers to grab onto if all they have is pointless multiplayer; establish this universe, show us some characters, cool story bits, the universe you created - SOMETHING for us to grab onto! Things like, "Fus Roh Dah" or "Arrow to the Knee" don't come out from multiplayer betas, Lightbox.

Oh but Jeff and Brad, screw you guys. Powerups floating in the sky don't need no explanation WHEN YOU'RE PLAYING A VIDEO GAME! I'm so sick of this stupid "everything must be grounded in 'realism'" mentality. Have some imagination and enjoy it, dudes.

@vinsanityv22: That is quite the reaction to a quick look :) I bought it and am loving it; Single player and multiplayer.

Although I do find parts of the single player a bit lacking its good considering the real focus on the multiplayer. Just sorry I missed out on TNT hopefully this one comes around again sometime.

I liked WarHawk on the PS3 even though I wasn't that good at it when I had a PS3 and this looks like more of the same but in a good way I hope?

If I was more into multiplayer, this game would look to be fucking awesome. Love the fast, somewhat cartoony animations and there's a nice sense of impact on the weapons, structures falling down, etc. It's also great that the vehicles don't feel overpowered (from what Jeff said). One of the things I hate about Battlefield is that if you're on foot and you run into a tank or a chopper, you're pretty much fucked.

This reminds me of that old game The Outfit on the 360. Looks okay.

Didn't know anything about this series, but now my interest is piqued. Kinda hoping it gets a Prototype 2-style $40 sale within a few weeks.

Brad knows about Colony Wars. This makes me insanely happy; the series was awesome (well, at least the first two).

I could not get into this game. I didn't like the art style. So wanted an actual sequel for Warhawk, not this.
