Stryker could beat up Strider.

I don't know whether you are privy or not, but it's pronounced 'streeder', actually. It wasn't until the invention of the water wheel in 1998 by one Bartholomew Strider that the pronunciations became conflated and led to this whole mess to begin with.

Stride...r looks pretty cool. I never played the originals. There is a demo on PSN. It's great to see more $15 games on PS4. The QL was enlightening, and if I like playing the demo I'll purchase it.

I thought this was hitting tomorrow? Awesome. This should ease me over for a bit till ze Bombcast. Anyone know when the demo/ full release goes up for this? I've been hitting PSN and XBL every few hours today and nada.

I don't remember forty minutes of green sewers in Strider. But I'll give this a shot.

This game looks really easy which is kind of disappointing.

Why was never a sequel? It boggles the mind. World needs more games like this and less crappy shooters

After watching this I have lost any interest I had in this game. I don't think I'll pick it up.

So Strider was one of those games that was slightly before my time and never really had the motivation or interest in checking it out. This looks pretty cool though and it makes me strangely happy when old game reboots are good, regardless of whether or not I ever had an appreciation for the original.

Me too. It looks kind of dull.

Sewer Crab

It's called "Those people made Infinity Blade and then Epic demanded they make those until the end of time because they sell way better."

The guys that made Shadow Complex went on to make Infinity Blade.

Infinity Blade makes a lot more money than Shadow Complex did.

This seems like it might be a tad too simple. Not sure if it could fill the Shadow Complex-shaped hole in my heart, but then what could?

Stridin' dirty.

The way the boss's dialog bar covers up the section of the screen where you need to see so your character can dodge attacks at 3:25 is really shitty. It's a nitpick, but stuff like that can exemplify a more pervading lack of attention to detail. Hopefully that's not the case here.

Also, it's idiotic that Shadow Complex never came out for PC, especially given how many of the other high profile Microsoft published XBLA games have (Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, Limbo, Dust: AET, Mark of the Ninja, etc.)

This looks so meh but there's nothing to play on PS4 right now. So it has that going for it. Maybe I'll break down during this winter drought and get it but I really don't think I want to. Also, I think Brad is dubbing Jeff's voice into his quick looks.

This looks okay...I guess. Never was much of a Strider fan back in the day.

This looks pretty fun, but I'm not short on games. Recently bought New Vegas, playing that on Hardcore Mode is a lot of fun. Also way into Hearthstone, which made me buy Diablo III for some weird reason and I also finally picked up Syndicate since it was in a budget bin and the game looked (and is) pretty rad.

I'm probably good for at least a month with these games. Awesome new gen titles are hitting soon, so I'll probably have to pass on this until a couple months later.

Taking into account that Jeff usually plays games in the most boring way possible and on easy/normal difficulty, this doesn't look half-bad for a $15 game.

Really dull looking game, sorry. PC gamers can get better options with Valdis Story and Rain Blood chronicles. Also whats up with the obscene amount of health pickups? Enemies give health and those crates give crazy amount of health too, might as well add HP regen if you gonna go so overboard with it. Hopefully its a difficulty thing and harder modes are less forgiving. Looks cool though which is a shame, if only the combat was more engaging.

Guys, I know you don't like the term and you're trying really hard not to say it but these types of games are called metroidvanias. Deal with it.

All it does is say how hard you're trying to look cool.

Combat looks a little lame. The aesthetics don't really do it for me either. I do like me some Shadow Complex though so I'll probably play this eventually.

This Strider remake looks rather dull. If developers are going to go through the trouble of remaking games I would prefer they add a bit more excitement compared to games in the past.

Bionic Commando: ReArmed managed to modernize the gameplay in that series, but I'm not getting that sense from Strider.
