So I love Brad...you are fantastic and I will continue to love you, but HOLY HELL that was a frustrating quick look...if Jeff was not there it would have been chipping sounds and darkness...plant them torches often man

The insistence on the staff knowing everything about a game beforehand annoys me as much as anyone, but this seems to be a decent reason for it. Its certainly not just Brad, maybe if the first impressions of games was saved for the Shrink Shack and all other games had just a little bit of prep it would result in better quality content.

A.) GB makes sure games that interest all sorts of folks get covered with quicklooks- people mad that GB doesn't spend time learning the ins ands out to their satisfaction.

B.) GB spends more time figuring out games for quicklooks resulting in fewer quicklooks due to the limited number of hours in a day- people mad that there is less content.

In short, people mad grr. Half the people angry don't even pay membership, and the ones that do maybe need to reevaluate how theyre using their money.

Jeff, giving a shit as he usually does, would probably argue that more consideration could be paid to prepping. The other half of it is that there is an expectations game here that cannot be won.

Doesn't even matter who says it, this video is objectively of low quality, whether someone payed for membership or not.

I bought this for PC a while ago but really couldn't get into it. I'm interested to see if the 360 version offers anything to entice me back.

@49th: Woah, I didn't even know they had something else in the works. This looks pretty cool!

I feel like if I went from the PC version to this I would be pretty upset, control-wise. But people coming into it for the first time might be alright.

As far as the Xbox version of minecraft, console ignorance is bliss. Minecraft can run on a weak computer, but people love their ecksbawks and their gaming on the couch.

I've put over a hundred hours into the Xbox version of Minecraft now, it isn't ignorance. I choose to play the console version largely down to split screen; playing and chatting with the misses on the sofa is perfect for this kind of exploring and building gameplay. Yes, it could run on my PC but I wouldn't play a game like this on my own sitting at my desk (even online) and although the Xbox is a few versions behind the PC, they are updating fairly quickly and exploring the 'new' features is still great fun, even if they arn't new to the game as a whole.

We will most probably give the trial version of this a whirl and see what we think. Still not really done with Minecraft though....

I also find it challenging to believe that he doesn't even know that you need a Nightmare Pickaxe to mine higher-grade minerals when he was questioned by Brad; his reluctant answer of "maybe, maybe not" was cringe-worthy.

Maybe you were too busy cringing but it just takes Jeff a moment to remember that certain materials need a higher grade pickaxe.

Which makes your cringing seem kinda crazy.

Looks good but I'm WAY too deep into the PC version to ever even consider trying the XBLA version.

Leave it to Brad almost getting himself killed by going up against a beached jellyfish. You gotta love the man

I loved the PC version, but this console port looks about as terrible as I would expect a console port of Terraria to be. I got pretty into Minecraft on the Xbox, but I'm definitely taking a pass on this one.

@sharpless: It's actually not that bad! I am loving it! I would definitely at least try it with one of your friends that have it.

Why isn't Jeff playing? Brad has no idea what he's doing.

Indeed. :/
