Still not sure if I want to go get this game. I really dislike shooters on consoles but everything else about this game looks great. I will let this QL decide if I want to go get the game.

Loving this game on hard. It feels tense and desperate. I feel like most of the time I'm just scraping by, perfect for he game's setting.

Not really a midnight wait in line release for me, but I did wake up early today to go to the store and get a copy before work.

Think i'm just gonna play the game before i watch this .... afraid of spoilers.

is it me or have the last few quick looks had poor quality? like blurry looking and tons of artifacts compared to others, even on progressive HD and on youtube.

If I can be super-vapid and superficial for a second? This game looks terrible. I'm sure Naughty Dog did the best they could with the hardware, and I'm sure it's irrelevant given the narrative focus of the game, but still. I expected lavish eye candy, and the QL left me disappointed.

Also: why do you need to physically hide from clickers when Ellie says they sense with sound? Does ducking behind a cabinet make you quieter?

This isn't a shooter. It's basically what Resident Evil should have become: a survival game focusing on melee, objects, tools, distraction, careful item use etc. It's closer to Condemned than Gears.

i would say it looks terrible by any stretch of the imagination. unless you live in that binary world where everything is AMAZNING!! or TERRRIBLE!!

No matter how pretty the game is I couldn't stop thinking about "photorealistic" when playing it. We are moving towards movie / game interaction at a rapid speed. Though stylized, they are still plastic characters to me.

For a game that tries to distance itself from uncharted. the guy you play as sure does looks a lot like Nathan Drake. It's not just me right?

Was having fun with this game before I was hit by the autosave bug and lost 90 minutes of progress. Kinda sapped my spirits.

Either its the compression or something else but I expected this game to look better.

My girlfriend bought paid for a preorder of this game for my birthday. Going to go pick it up later today.

after 5 minutes I could recognize that city as Boston, Awesome, hometown represent!

It's probably watching E3 all week looking at next gen games and you're just now realizing that they, in fact, do look significantly better than current generation games. It's just not as big a leap as before.

Just picked mine up! This is the last game I get now untill ps4, its a nice way to sign off on ps3

Looks like exactly the game I was hoping for, even though I'm not a huge fan of the "special zombie types" (I prefer the more standard TWD zombies) but that's just me...

Yep, after E3 and all the next gen games this game just doesn't look as amazing as I thought it did. It's actually really noticeable how the environments just don't have much going on in them.

Nice crunchy sound effects. Makes the impacts more satisfying.

@adam1808: @lazyaza: There are parts where you don't sure, but you still run around, holding a button to aim a gun and shoot. That makes it a shooter. Even if it doesn't emphasize it. Shooting always feels awkward and weird to me on consoles and it always ruins my enjoyment of the game. I will wait until it goes on sale in a month or two and pick it up then.

Oh man, that part where he had to kill all those infected was really stressful! Especially when he was running from the clicker.

My strategy to wait for a price drop for this didn't work out as planned.

Also there really isn't any spoilers in there so go ahead and watch if that is what's preventing you to do so. They actually show sequences that have been featured in trailers and there isn't any meaningful story beats in the quicklook.

Not at all, no meaningful story beats are shown and the 2 main sequence Patrick plays through have been shown in trailers.

I suggest that Troy Baker replace Nolan North for the Northies but keep the same name :P

This game looks stunning, but the gameplay is an overrated snorefest. It's like trying to force something story driven like Heavy Rain into being a combat/stealth game.

It's been years since I've payed full price for a game, but I have a free weekend coming up and I think I might finally break that trend with this game. Either that or finish up the alternate endings on Nier...

For those wondering about the graphics, this game looks a lot better in person. It is simply amazing what Naughty Dog has wrangled out of the PS3. I went to E3 yesterday and played a bunch of PS4 stuff and I was worried that TLoU would look like dog shit afterward but it still manages to impress. Certainly not next gen but as good as this gen has ever looked.

So the game has some sort of bad saving glitch...but hey let's all give it perfect scores. Typical Naughty Dog adoration by the media.
