Also the opening cinematic of this game is totally fucking bad-ass!

Yup, this game is still as awesome as I remember it.

Totally forgot the music in here is fantastic.

Really enjoyed the first Witcher book as well. It is called The Last Wish for anyone interested. The second (and the latest book translated to English) is called Blood of Elves. Which is part of 5 book saga. Second book of the saga is supposed to be out next year. All these books have been out in Polish for a good time now.

I find it interesting when Vinny says that the game is never going to look this good. Considering that Witcher 2 pretty much actually does look that good :P

This game has some serious issues (pacing was the biggest one for me) but I really liked it as a whole, nice QL.

Too bad about Foltest in 2, the title of the game was a dead giveaway but the pre-release screenshots led me to believe he'd be more than a plot device. :(

This reminds me of the time it took Vinny one year to beat Dragon Age 2.

Vinnie quick looks are the best quick looks. Also, I only play my Witchers...

Vinny just a tip, if you CTRL-Left click on lootable stuff it automaticly collects everything, which is pretty handy. Also that plant thing that you got killed by twice  is one of the thoughest monsters in chapter 2. Steer clear from it until you leveld up some more. Hope you keep on enjoying the game. There's some spots where it drags a bit mainly in chapter 3, but once you finished that. It just keeps getting better.

Protip for Vinny: Taking out your sword and switching it to fast style lets you run ALOT faster than just running around without your sword out. You're going to be traversing that swamp too many damn times and it will go a lot faster this way. Also upgrade Aard and use it to stun + execute people. Usually you have to soften them up a bit before they will go into stun from it, otherwise they will just get knocked down.

That gramps will fuck you up, if you aren't prepared.

I love that this QL exists in 2011. Go Vinny go!

I've always wanted to play this series.  I've been looking into building a new PC lately (want something awesome that can handle Star Wars: The Old Republic + Vent + Fraps/PvP/Raid Videos @ 60FPS) that should be able to handle these games (mostly The Witcher 2).   
 
Anyone know of the best possible place to maybe buy both The Witcher 1 + 2 + all Enhanced DLC for like under $40?   
 
If not, I guess I'll wait for this Holiday Steam Sale or something, as that will most likely happen.  

Fuck, now I'm gonna have to Vinny my way through these games. I purchased the second one during the Steam Summer Sale, though the first one runs like shit on my PC. I'll have to play them in order, dammit.

@Luke: Witcher 1 is on GoG.com for $10 There is no paid DLC, all Witcher 1's sold now are already Enhanced edition.

You'll need to wait for sales to get Witcher 2 for cheap.

Oh and the drinking contest in the Witcher 2 is sooooo much better.

God damn The Witcher was a fantastic game! It's a little slow to start, but once it gets it's teeth into you, it's a hell of a game. 
 
Watching this sure makes me want to play it again. ..but I do have The Witcher 2.. I should probably start that.

I really liked the Witcher 1. Did the classic RPG thing though of playing right until the end and stopping, though. I'll probably never beat it.

I wonder if they will do another quick look of The Witcher 2 but this time with Vinny playing and Ryan watching.

Shame they didn't follow the grandpa quest to its end. Its fairly short and has a really interesting conclusion.

Great stuff. This is exactly the kind of content I want more of. And I really wish they'd spent more time with Gramps - would've liked to see their reaction to his diet.

These games look really cool, but I just don't have the time to dedicate to them.

No, you mean Demon's Souls (I know, it makes no sense).  And yes, he should!  Probably won't happen b/c they already did one when the game came out, but I'd definitely watch some more of that now that Vinny knows what's up. 

Witcher 1 Pro-Tip: In chapter 2's infamous swamps, just run, run past those damned monsters because they infinitely respawn.

The Witcher sort of lost me with its dorky combat system (rhythmic clicking isn't very fun). I'd like to know how long it will be before things start getting "good," because otherwise I'll probably never pick the game up again.
