As somebody who has done some lower Cat racing, and follows pro cycling, watching this was painful. Hilarious, but painful.

Drew played it on an Unprofessional Friday awhile back, it's a lot of fun. Rift and Hydra support are planned, multiplayer as well. It's still in development, make sure to find the framerate cap option, it behaves strangely above 60fps.

I just watched an hour of Tour de France 2014 so I guess I'm loving the Alex/Vinny dynamic.

As someone who grew up with bicycling geek parents, the detail they go into with this is actually pretty impressive. The gameplay just looks dull.

The first thing I thought of when the game mentioned "attacking" was Full Throttle. I am so happy Vinny eventually got around to making a dumb joke about it.

Can you hook it up to an exercise bike and pedal in virtual reality? I bet there'd be a market for that kind of shit.

Holy shit! Just saw this is a PS4 title, and fucking annual?! Who buys this shit? I was thinking this was prob PC only, and while it has the licence for Tour de France this looks about as quality as Farm Simulator.

I'm not a fan of using youtube videos to fix things or explain problems with hardware, but this video was my saving grace a few months back when I noticed in GTA5 I would randomly eject from a car and other anomalies

I can't believe I watched an hour of two people riding a bicycle. But somehow @vinny and @alex made it entertaining.

@kmg90: Thanks! I bought one of those BF4 controllers when that happened since most of the games I still play on my PS3 can either be reconfigured to use L2/R2 instead of L1/R1 for shooting or aren't shooters, but I still have the misbehaving controller, so I may look into fixing that one.

Just because something is not for you doesn't mean it's bad. I'm sure there are plenty of people that enjoy games like this. Taste has nothing to with quality.

Amigo, mon ami, you needn't be so harsh with our friend here. This game bears certain traits which appear, as we say in the business, shitty. I'm sure some people enjoy the series, as it continues to exist, but it does appear, to me and many others, to be quite dull.

Also, the visuals are lackluster, the lack of collision makes the game look cheap (as it probably is), and all you do is fucking ride a bike for an entire hour (maybe that's what cycling enthusiasts look for in a game).

He has reasons to claim shit. He didn't say, "Well looks like I wouldn't enjoy this game, so it must be shit." He instead compared it to Farming Simulator, a game widely considered to be of poor quality, whether you enjoy farming or not.

Yup... that certainly was an hour of people biking.

Man.... This seems like a "interesting" game to play for about 5-10 mins at most. I fear that all these types of games are going to cause another video game crash. I can see this selling for maybe $10-15, but I doubt that this will sell at full retail price all that much.

I'm impressed how accurately this game has managed to capture the tedious boredom that is 97% of bicycle tour racing. I got way in to watching it when Lance "Vance Dance" Armstrong was cheating the shit out of the whole thing for years and came to realize that the winner is the guy who can do consistently well on the climbs and time trials, and basically just putz around for the rest of it in the middle of the pack. The broadcasts are regularly just tuning in to see that the race leader is way in back talking to his fucking team car or drinking a soda or something and nothing happens FOR THREE WEEKS.

I'm so glad Vinny is doing Quicklooks again...
