Quick Look: Yoostar 2: In The Movies

If only this was less busted.

It's too bad that the Kinect version doesn't quite live up the visual quality that the first Yoostar 2 quick look-style video offered, which I believe was the PC version.

Awesome Quick Look. Terrible game. I'm so glad Kinect is making experiences like this possible. My favorite part of Kinect is still the way you navigate menus. 

Alex Navarro for best actor.

Only thing this video made me think about was how much I would enjoy full length interpretation of Blues Brothers by Alex and Ryan.

" I think the problem with the Kinect video capture was  your professional set up.  Even though Alex and Ryan were well lit, that black curtain being the only thing in the backdrop made the Kinect think it was in a very dark room.  Thusly, it did crazy things with the contrast to compensate.

This seems like the least enjoyable experience possible.
 
I mean, even in its intended setting, goofing around with family or whatever, it's awkward, slow-moving, it looks terrible, and just doesn't seem fun. What's fun about watching someone say between 2 and 20 words from some movie scene, then watching it again?

I don't think the kinect camera is calibrated for the amount of lighting they have on the set. The video captures in game were so overexposed it was hard to make out any details. 
Still, some funny stuff in this QL.

This game looks  just terrible. The choice of scenes and movies is haphazard, the downtime is extremely long, and the presentation is dull.
 
Here is me , still not buying a Kinect.

I think the hot, bright lights may have made this jankier than it would have otherwise been.

"Up in Smoke" right next to "The Wizard of Oz"!  Well...that makes more sense than I originally considered.  
 
That kid with the explosion....um, a bag of kittens were drowned to make that clip possible.

Great quick look, poor game. I can't believe how crappy the kinect camera is.

I think the game is actually counting on you not having good lighting. On those user videos the image looked relatively fine, so those studio lights are hindering the video and making Ryan and Alex look like nightmares.

Honestly, the game seems really bland. I expected this to be a riot, but even with Alex's awesome impersonations, the whole thing just feels flat. Not even Giant Bomb can save it.

the lights are way too bright, I don't know why you thought that would help.

I've just realized that Ryan SUCKS at video games.

if the kinect can measure your body in 3d space then why is there tearing?
