Never once picked Hugo or Iori. Seems highly unscientific to me. SVC Chaos seems great right up until the part where your punches and kicks connect with your opponent, which is sort of important in a fighting game.

I'm nearly positive that Tattoo Assassins is using a Wilhelm Scream for a number of their characters when they are hit.

Blaz Blue and Guilty Gear have carried on the style and coolness factor of Neo-Geo fighters to

I'd like to lodge a formal complaint. In this video, @jeff says, and I quote, "[Masters of Teras Kasi] is like a bad Tekken. Worse than Tekken 4, Tekken." Sir, you have not scientifically analyzed Tekken 4 yet. You cannot say if it's actually better or worse than Masters of Teras Kasi until the science has been applied to it. The shading on CVS: Chaos was odd. Even the IV one wasn't this wierd. No PREDICTABO or YOU CANNOT ESCAPE RONG DEATH from Geese or nothing.

But at least there ain't no Engrish like like SNK Engrish and the backgrounds are wonderful.

I remember seeing SNK vs. Capcom in the arcade and thinking, "Oh, cool. A new fighting game. Friend who is better at Street Fighter than me: I wanna watch you play it!" My friend picked Sagat and a point blank tiger shot went through the CPU opponent (which you can see happen in this video) because Sagat's arms are so long, I guess, and then I thought, "Hm. This game seems bad." We still played it a bit here and there, but I always knew that it was trash.

That universal fart anti-air in Tattoo Assassins baffles me. It doesn't make any sense tonally, and I can't believe that it's in there. How fucking bizarre.

This video series is neat. I appreciate that Jeff and Jason are deliberately avoiding popular/good games, choosing to highlight things that people may not even know exist.

Wait. The heads of Tak Hata's dragon tattoo are on his chest, and the tail of it is on his back with the end pointing upwards. Does his tattoo. . .does his tattoo run straight down through his taint?!

Man, Tattoo Assassins... what a video game. Terrifyingly, even just limited to MK clones, it's still nowhere near the worst.

Can't wait until we get to the really insane stuff, a la Tongue Of The Fatman or Time Slaughter (not to be confused with Time Killers, a.k.a "The game where you pick Mantazz, spam the buzzsaw, and hope for the best").

SvC art and animation still looks amazing. I never played it though. I miss the days when fighting games were at least kinda half sincere. Like SFIV and V, i don't know if this is Ono's influence or what, but they made so much of the attacks look like slapstick comedy routine.

@2headedninja: It's just a giant metal sheet, they could easily buy one and screw it to the wall, if they wanted to.

At the rate they do these episodes, I'm not sure they are going to crown a victor in the RoF in my lifetime.

It's been over a year since we've seen the science. I'm starting to lose my faith in fighting games.

Is this series dead? I really loved it so of course it would be abandoned.
