This is a fun series and I'm glad it's serving as a tutorial for some people to get more into Spelunky themselves, but @patrickklepek, I think you should kind of... stop explaining things as you play. I'm not trying to say that in a mean "I HATE YOU I HOPE YOU FREEZE IN CHICAGO GET OFF THE SITE HIPPIE" way or whatever. I just mean it in a "consider your audiences" kind of way. Because you have two audiences here:

[...]

For the sake of varying opinions, I think what you're doing is perfectly fine. As an avid Spelunky fan myself, I couldn't care less if you're explaining things I already know. I'm just as content watching the gameplay :)

Same here. I don't really mind it myself; it's just more that when he mentioned that half the fun in Spelunky is discovering stuff for yourself, I started thinking about how much that could take away from the experience of people unfamiliar with the game. Of course, those people shouldn't be watching this, but sometimes people need a push to get a game for themselves.

I see your point :)

But like you said, anybody watching this is indeed spoiling that discovery for themselves. I think we can agree none of that falls on Patrick.

I have a pug, so having the optional pug damsels is such an amazing option. Although I feel super awful when I accidentally drop it on spikes or something. ):

Absolutely love this new feature. I've been playing Spelunky on and off for a while now, but I'm incredibly terrible at it, so this has been really informative and entertaining.
