What other game besides Mario will Brad play this time

These are always some of my favourite streams on the site. A third of the way through this one now and there have already been so many good moments. Also, Jan’s camera switching is so on point in this one and there are so many moments of good comedic timing - Jan, you rule. Love y’all.

This game is bad and not fun. Brad should just play Zelda 2 the next time. He can switch to SMB2j when he gets bored.

Here, we're just seein' the same stuff over 'n' over - due to poor design, not really Brad. I know Brad throwing his head against a wall is part of the series, but with the other titles, there's an actual challenge to be overcome, not kitchen-sink kaizo bullshit - success depends on strategizing & reflexes, challenges that it's satisfying to see someone tackle & solve, not simple luck & repetition.

There's so much more fun in the City Connection & Gradius segments. Like, wow. An actual game on screen.

I love all these old games being played on the site. Persevere and continue the NES play throughs.

Talking about who Danny Devito should play in the Nintendo movie and Detective Pikachu didn't even cross anyone's mind. So disappointed.

Brad’s unwillingness to flow makes it harder on himself. A lot of these levels were not designed for Mario to stop.

I would be really curious to find out what the development story was for this game. It is vindictive toward the player in a way Mario games simply aren't.

i didn't think there was any way to play super mario bros but to be holding down the run button the entire time

I personally had a lot of fun with that game when I was a kid, but I bet it would be a less than fun experience nowadays...

This is a horror game. But no seriously, they need to make a new 2D Mario that has the production values and sensibility of 3D World and Odyssey, two masterpieces in my opinion.
I'd even take (a joke made at the time of NSMB2 on 3DS) a so-called New Super Mario USA...that could be amazing – and especially fix some of the things I found sort of boring about it (adding suits/power-ups of games like SMB3 and beyond.)

I think they are really making a mistake playing the NES version instead of the All Stars version, considering the requirements for unlocking the extra levels are much more steep in the NES than All Stars version.

Brad was breaking real soon into this one - I tuned out after a while so I hope he wasn’t a complete wreck by the 2 hr mark!

I hope with 2020 Jeff and gang will completely stop streaming old NES games and exclusively play original Xbox titles. Give us that Jet Set Radio Future playthrough the people deserve Jeff!

Once you realize that a well designed Mario level is basically a rhythm game it becomes a lot easier.

Ho boy, this is a harrowing feature. I was on the edge of my seat for some of the later high stakes platforming. It's a nice fit for Breaking bad, I think.

I'd love for them to give some love to Zelda 2 at some point, I like that game a bunch. Not sure if it fits the Breaking Brad label though.

thank you Brad, I've had a rough week and watching you suffer through this game made me smile.

I think some people in this thread are too accustomed to seeing this game through speedruns and don't understand what it's like to play it when you haven't dedicated a good chunk of your life to it.

Brad found a fairly easy to get invisible block 1up in 4-1 then completely ignored it?

Gotta say, I wish we’d stop switching games in the feature. I enjoy the persistence about Breaking Brad and I just lose all momentum when Brad just quits to play 5 minutes of another game. I’m finding it super annoying. If you don’t want to play this game, maybe let’s just not play it?

I know I’m nitpicking, but the point is that it’s hard. I’m gonna watch no matter what because I love everything GB. Just thought I’d voice what’s bothering me about the feature.

@benpack If you wanna watch original Dragon Ball but you're afraid it'll drag too much, fans have re-edited the original DB series to be cut the filler stuff and make the pacing more similar to the manga. I think they even go as far to call it "Dragon Ball Kai"? Search for it, it's a really good way to re-visit it, and the episodes are available in both Japanese dub with English subs and English dub
