I can't see how else Sneak King surfaces the enemy AI's pathing besides FoV cones, which certainly ain't ahead of its time.

I can't decide which is scarier. The fact that Dave Lang now has his own show, or that I enjoy listening to him talk shit. IG being paid under the table by GB for additional content. It's DLC-gate all over again. Follow the money. Chem trails...

Oh jeez, the talk of the Independence Day floppy disk games brought back some repressed memories! I almost thought I had imagined having one when I was tiny and barely knew how to use a PC.

I can't even remember what the game was like, outside of a super abstract alien interface, that you had to figure out like a puzzle.

Those Midwestern accents.

It's always weird for me when someone says that, because I can never hear a Midwestern accents. I can hear New York/Boston accents and deep Southern accents, but Midwest and West Coast accents just sound very neutral to me.

Yeah, Commandos popularized vision cones in 1999, but even that was probably not the first to implement that mechanic. Didn't at least one of the Metal Gear Solid games do that too? Can't remember which and if it was released before Commandos.

They didn't go into first person view in Sneak King? That's like 90% of the fun of that game.

As a Midwesterner I really appreciate that GB: Chicago keeps putting these out, not only is this crew super funny, it just feels a little closer to home for some odd reason. Epically when they make references to how bad the weather is (though it's not really that bad for the time being).

Also thank you for more Max and taking me to The Lang Zone once again! Get bodied, FREEEEEEEE!

MGS didn't have it represented within the 3D game-world, but did show vision cones in your always-on soliton radar at the top right (I think) of the screen. That was 1998, 10 years before Sneak-King.

I'm almost certain there will be examples of vision cones before 1998 but none come to mind.

Is it bad that this really annoyed me? 100% yes.
