Totally understandable, then. Somewhere in the description like in youtube could say where to skip to, or someone can just point that out in the first comment, not exactly an inconvenient thing.

"Wow, we have fucked up badly." Well, that's literally impossible because you just picked up the Nail, but OK. Man, the outcome of that Devil room was a bummer. Easily the biggest facepalm in this whole feature.

The wiki reading does kinda kill it, though, because the wiki overexplains everything (to new players). Not only does it spell out every item for Patrick, it also lists off all the obscure synergies in certain situations, so you can't even feel clever for thinking up some effective way to make use of some weird activated item or tarot card. But I get it, he's done the learning phase, and just wants to see this to its conclusion.

No, his first stage is The Fallen (which is basically the same as Krampus but splits into two smaller variants when killed first). The second stage is what you saw for a moment in the run, basically a shmup boss that only moves left and right. The third stage is just his feet trying to trample you, acting like two of Mom's feet and spawning those bomb leeches.

It's your loadout that makes this interesting or expected. E.g. I beat Satan with ??? on my first try because I got the Fetus in a Jar and bobby bombs.

... Hence the "OH SHIT!".

I was shooting extremely buffed laser tears as Cain, had 90 homing bombs (due to a skeleton key followed by a bombs are key pill) and a shitton of health. My loadout was badass, but a month ago I couldn't even consistently get to Mom, and had never managed to even come close to beating her. So I still consider this quite a feat.
