@brad: Clinkz attack animation is probably one of the worst in the game in just how much time it takes to wind up to make attacks. Just getting used to the timing and using "S" to cancel the backswing on his animation makes last hitting with Clinkz a lot easier.

If you don't know what orbwalking is you should look it up, a youtube video could probably explain it better than I can.

Anyone else having big audio issues when running these videos through XBMC on an Apple TV?

Voice and game sound is about 4 seconds behind, stutters etc.

Every other long form video content works fine with the exception of Daily DOTA.

Troll Warlord: Voiced by Nolan North, apparently. Explains why he was so strong.

You should probably try to get your weekend DOTA streams up on the site, too, incase people are missing them. Those 3+ hour videos are probably better than the site content.

I can thank Brad and these dumb-ass videos for sucking me into the world of DOTA 2. I have resisted moba/dota/arts/what-have-you for years, but now I think I finally see what's fun about a game like this.

I won't claim to understand it any better, but I get the appeal.
I'll be joining the ranks of dota noobs asap.
Brad, any chance of you making a quickplay-style tutorial video, maybe?

edit: I still think it would be helpful if Brad skimmed over his character's powers at the start of each match.

"Brad, turn off burning spear, the mask doesn't work with it." *proceeds to use burning spear for the entire match*

GAH. Frustrating. And I don't even play DOTA 2, but Pascual and Crispy seem like they know their shit.

@mezmero: To be fair, I'm not sure his intention is to teach you how to play the game.

Brad is really painful to watch at times. You'd think he'd get considerably better playing alongside good company...and it's even tougher to watch when he completely forgets the advice everyone gives to him. i.e. forgetting turning off burning spears and forgetting to put talents into attributes.

And is it just me or does Brad never ever adjusts his power treads?

Honestly I'm in Very High MMR and I very rarely switch treads stats around. Just too lazy.

So, I was too terrified by the whole MOBA thing to even try Dota2 but since watching Brad's dailies I went for it. Just won my first game (should I quit now? 100% wins! :)) and it was awesome!!

I'm convinced I still totally suck but 6 kills 1 death doesn't seem too bad...

Thanks Brad!

@nate6858: You were on the edge of a deep, deep rabbit hole. Brad continues to fall through it and we don't know where it ends. I for one have come out of that hole but these videos have made me hear the voices again...the RABBIT HOLE IS CALLING TO ME!!!!!!

That Lina ult suicide against the Nyx summarizes Brad's Dota playing nicely. I feel like he needs to take time away from playing, and read up on heroes and basic mechanics.

Yeah, this particular video just seemed like a series of gaffes to me. Just, man, between the Nyx suicide, and effectively the other suicides where he would just wander forward by himself with like 25% HP "because he thought he could finish a guy off", and the times where in a group fight he was one of the front 2 heroes on his team as if he were a melee tank.

And then all the times at the end when things got desperate where he would wait too long to use any abilities despite there being guys within view, then he just gets ganked by Nyx or somebody.

He's putting in a lot of time, but it seems like he still hasn't picked up basic situational awareness. I know it's easy for us all to kibitz these matches, but seriously, some of those times where he was low on health and should've retreated but he just walked forward were painful.
