I love love love those "person in VR" clips (like the preview image). They're the next logical evolution of people pretending to play video games by mashing buttons and shaking the controller around. Also I kinda like the, "Here's a fake cyber-screen over their eyes to represent the window into a virtual world they're looking through."

Also, thanks Alex for including the UK price in the PS VR announcement! It's nice to hear people talking in pounds. ;)

EDIT: So I've been thinking about the potential of a cross-platform multiplayer future, and I'm not convinced about it changing people's habits of buying the console that their friends have. For a start, games like Rocket League which support cross-platform don't currently allow you to party up with players on the other platform - it just matchmakes you into games with players from both sides.

That can potentially be circumnavigated - Street Fighter V does this well by using a sub-account, as does Final Fantasy XIV. However, there's still the issue of stuff like Party Chat - which presumably will never work across systems. I use Party Chat all the time; it has a ton of benefits over in-game chat such as continuing to work if the game drops and being able to talk to friends when I'm not playing the same game as them. Also in multiplayer games it keeps you out of the game chat which might be full of other players in the lobby.

Does the header image mean it's another two hours re-discussing the exact same points about VR? These things haven't even launched yet and I'm already sick to death of hearing about it.

Microsoft and the developers are the people that benefit from cross platform play. That move will definitely open up the games we see in the future. Maybe Xbox can get Final Fantasy XIV now

To be fair Jeff, that new Radeon Pro card, like the Titan series, is more for use in Industry (e.g. 3D/heavy video/simulation/game dev) and not really aimed toward the gaming market so the price isn't something to be worried about.

@vinny You got somewhere between 5-10 hours left with the Witcher. There's also the Heart of Stone expansion which is another 10 hours, which you totally should play if you aren't completely Witched out, because with the exception of the bloody baron, it's the best questline of the game.
