I love the concept of this game

I want to explore your dungeon.

That "co-opalypse" pun in the video description just gave me acid reflux.

I was out at the club and some hussy came up and asked me if I wanted to go home with her and explore her dungeon. I told her to get lost. Brad's dungeon is the only one for me.

What type of PC controller would you guys use for a game like this or Towerfall Ascension? An XBOX Controller with a USB dongle? Maybe one of those retro SNES PC controllers you can get on Amazon for ten bucks?

I really love watching this game, even if it is no Gang Beasts.

e: God, Brad's constant whining about coming in at a lower level, even though it kinda doesn't matter. He just becomes convinced he's totally screwed and starts playing recklessly because of it. He also didn't just go back to get cashe money so he could buy stuff, just booked it to the exit.

It also kills me every time xp orbs are just ignored and disappear into the ether. And when they don't realize the monster points are given from other players leveling up.

This looks fun. But I can see maybe the slowest friend will never get to be the player. That can be a bummer.

At first I was like "this is okay"...at the end I was like "this is fucking awesome!".

Let's hope the final version gets rid of the balancing issues.

@danfess: You'd want analog aiming it seems so either a 360 or PS4 pad.

This game looks amazing. So much potential. Needs a bit more variety in level design and some balancing, but I can't wait to see what the end product becomes.

Looks like a great friends game. Also seems like they need to make the pentagram pulse so that the ghost players can see it better.

I read the description before I read who posted the video, and I knew it was Drew who did it.

This game looks fantastic, just hope they balance things out like the guys said. Also if it does well enough would be great to see more gods/monsters in the future.

If there are more bosses in the final build, I'm curious how it'll be determined which one the player faces. I wonder if it'll be based on what gods the other players have selected?

The animations in this game are pretty incredible.

I continue to be sold on this game. If the final product adds more variety and balance, it will be a solid one indeed.

This continues to look super great. I just hope the developers actually trust their own instincts on fine-tuning the balance and think carefully about what they take from any player feedback they might get. The asymmetrical nature of the gameplay probably heightens the feeling that one might be at a disadvantage in whatever situation when that may not actually be the case. I think the fairly constant flow of criticism and complaints by Brad, who would actually be better served by just focusing on the game and not being so self-defeatist, supports this supposition. :P

I've seen games receive bad balance tweaks because of knee-jerk community reactions before. It would be a shame for it to happen here. Unless something is very obviously broken, you need to give time and thought, learn the nuances of the systems etc, before decrying lack of balance.

It seems to me like the game does actually strike a reasonable balance between giving all players a chance, with the dichotomy that arises from spending more time as the Hero (ie your monsters are crap and you won't get much gold) and so on, without making it meaningless by facilitating comebacks by any player at any time.

Vinny did kind of run away with that game (although Giancarlo also definitely stood a chance), but it was because he did well as the Hero and then was actually able to get kills with comparitively underlevelled monsters. He even gave them more chances than he needed to by levelling way past ten and giving them more Vitae to level their monsters (unless you actually need to hit level 15 or something to get to fight the boss again if you fail the first time etc). He made the most of his opportunities and deserved to win.

TL;DR Just because Brad won't stop whining, doesn't mean the game is poorly balanced.

This game is interestingly designed and fun to watch (and play, seemingly).

Now that i finally understand this game, I really like it.

I hope both Shahid and Charla are chatting up these guys hard. The more great couch co-op games we have on the X1 and PS4, the better. This game looks like a blast.

Brad keeps wiffing the stun :>. And he played soo much dota!

I would say it's more of a petulant, dark crevice myself but tastes in holes differ across the spectrum.

Maybe I'm being too hard, but Brad seemed really complainy in this. It's unfinished and obviously needs some tuning and hopefully gets some more content, but yet he points out everything, which I guess is good, but he tone wasn't understanding of that.

He's like that friend you invite over to play a game and because he isn't winning just bitches the entire time.

My friend's mom makes $65 and hour stealing ipads from coffee shops.

Suppose you can't really complain about limited boss controls, when all proper videogames bosses (at least of older era) are just like that, repeating same attacks with a few patterns over and over again.

Also, this still looks brilliant.

One difference between Vinny and the other dudes: he picked up XP as soon as possible. Too much XP went wasted by the others.

This has so much potential. Hope the devs keep expanding it and adding new ideas, especially for what the ghosts can do.

Brad is just being really honest about everything he's feeling and thinking as he plays, that's great, that's the kind of critic that he is. At the end he also says that he really liked the game. It's huge praise from Brad that he said he liked a game even after coming in last place.

Super cool idea. It seems like there is some balance there if you end up as a ghost for long periods because you'll have a ton of money to buy items when your human, but you earn barely any money as a human, you earn levels.

I think if Jeff had not been so fast at going down the stairs he could have found a shop and geared himself as a badass,.

Everything about this video is great. Too bad I just don't really get to do couch co-op, this game seems good as well.

Also enjoyed Brad naming himself Bad.
