Shame that this game isn't coming out on current gen consoles, but I'll take what I can get.

If the mirrors actually work I'm not a fan of obstructing them with HUD elements.

Does that soundtrack sound like Mass Effect or Deus Ex: Human Revolution to anyone else?

@dannyodwyer, @drewbert Suggestion for the future Quick Look of the complete game: Put in a period without any sound except for the game audio, just engine noise, braking and gear shifts. Showcasing the new sounds.

My thoughts exactly. Any prostrating I do in regards to the fact that I wont be able to play this on my XBONE is nullified by the fact that I will almost definitely buy it anyway.

alt-F1 is quickly becoming my favourite GB content, and i didn't even follow F1 prior to this season.

Japan gets this game tomorrow (consoles only), just ahead of the Japanese GP. Europe and PC get it on the 17th, and the rest get it on the 21st in time for the US GP. It's almost as if someone planned it that way.

This looks like a really cheaply made cash-grab. It's basically F1 2013 with some different engine noises. The handling looks really poor as well.

Danny geeking out about F1 is seriously awesome. Guess I'll have to give Alt F1 a listen!

Looks good. Will pick up. Last F1 game I played was 2011 (bargain bin get) and it was really weirdly rigid about changing race length. Like the shortest race you could do in the main mode was 20 minutes+. Also that game was extremely hard.

Also, Codemasters, STAHP DOING UNSKIPPABLE VO IN MENUS HOLY SHIT WTF. Every game. Every single game they make they do this and i makes me furious.

I'd like to be able to try playing these games with an RC car steering wheel type controller.. hand held, stiff analog wheel, one finger gas and brake might be a bad limitation..

Denny? Tommy Wiseau would be proud.

Might pick this up at a sale or maybe just wait for the 2015 version instead.

At 26:56, the pit guy's arm clips through the car. You'd think with a canned animation like that, they'd have caught that and prevented it from happening.

@cooljammer00: Yeah, that sort of thing always baffles me slightly.
But maybe it's due to there being more than one car model and the animation being made to fit all of them, even if not perfectly.

Wow this game looks a bit rough on 360. So many jaggies. But then again I'm used to the maxed out PC settings at 1440p. Thanks for the quick look guys. I'll probably wait a while because I get in on this one.

It's really weird coming to this year's game with a ton more knowledge and sentimental value than I've ever had with the franchise. Seeing this with a familiarity of the sport though really just makes me want to play F1 with an Oculus Rift and a wheel. We're so close too, only a year or two away.

Goddamnit I can't wait.

@dannyodwyer, Having just bought a wheel for the first time, I'd recommend the Thrustmaster TX. It has fantastic feedback, a decent wheel rim and pedals, and is compatible with Xbox One, so you can play next-gen racing games with it. It doesn't have a clutch, but the one true master sport, F1, doesn't use an manual gearbox so who cares!?

Wow this suddenly looks like a PS2 game when you race on a night track.

I think the game looks really good for a last gen game, actually. Especially in the rain.

I wonder how quickly the Williams Martini logos will get modded back in.

@bacongames Yes, this. It's why I had to force myself to understand annual sports games. When you care about the teams and players, that seemingly mundane stuff matters. A lot.
