Tried the game, ended up tossing everything in the pit in the garage, getting drunk and I presume passing out in the bathroom(It's where the save and exit function it). It's truly a magical recreation of the Finnish lifestyle.

This is probably my favorite video they've made this year.

@drewbert You can buy mosquito spray at the shop. You can also adjust minor things like engine valve timings.

Really cool concept, but this game looks super frustrating to play.

I love that this game exists.. I think i built a whole engine.. i had a couple pieces left over though, i don't think my car is going to be driving this summer...

It kills me they never seem to notice every punch fills the thirst gauge by like 10%, they keep punching themselves to death :P

My mother comes from Finland and I spend a handfull of weeks each year in Pedersöre visiting that side of my family. There is something magical for me to hear finnish and see tell-tale signs of rural Finland in a game. The sausage, the nature, the design of the local newspaper logo. The design of your house in the game, both exterior and interior, feels spot on.

You know when two things you know intimately that are filed in completely different parts of your mind, and then suddenly overlaps in a way you weren't expecting. I had the same feeling when playing Cry Of Fear; when you sit in an older Stockholm subway car and pull up your Sony Ericsson W610i to see an SMS from mom asking when you will be home tonight. I get flashbacks from my teens just thinking about it. Man I'm just marinating in cozy feelings over here.

Press M is the best feature of this game.

A friend of mine bought this game and has been playing for some time now. If you know what you are doing it seems to be fairly interesting. I hope they build on this early access version and improve the game.

This couldn't have been better, except by being maybe two hours longer...but I'll take what I can get.

As a Finnish person, I can confirm that this is the MOST Finnish games ever.

@flavbot: My mother is Finnish-Swedish and I spent several summers as a kid in rural Finland playing in the forests, so I can very much relate to what you're describing. It's a nice feeling.

This game is actually really fun. I've been playing it all weekend, but it needs a freaking pause function that actually pauses the game.

Look, I know everyone on the site is extremely, extremely busy these days, but we really need some more Vinny/Drew/Jeff, Vinny/Jeff quick looks.

Almost. Vinny got it for a while at least. I'm used to GB missing critical stuff after all endurance runs and Hitman episodes.

Anyways, a really good QL (unfinished)! This game and QL beats Rec Room and other VR craziness for me. I think we kinda need a second look at this, they missed so much fun stuff. Like the bar, sauna and cops. My Summer Car got some surprising depth and content besides the pretty realistic car building.

This was an amazing video! I'd love to watch the GB crew actually try to build the car and experience all the other stuff during their Extra Life stream!

I can't believe they didn't give that other car the finger.

I honestly believe this video game was secretly made by a giant bomb member just for the purposes of a quick look. This is a game just MADE for Giant Bomb.
