MY name IRL is Forrest. You have no idea how many times I have heard this phrase. And When I introduce myself, people say "WHAT, LIKE GUMP?" and make chocolate jokes.

I am well used to it by now. It makes for interesting introductions though.

One of the only times I have been annoyed about it is when I was playing Watch_Dogs and after I bumped into a guy he shouted "Run Forest, run!".

I ran him over with a car. A lot.

Super happy Dan is representing me in Quick Looks by talking about games relative to other games. I don't know how anyone who follows games manages not to liken every system or mechanic in a game to something they've seen before.

Been having fun with this since v0.02. There is some busted-ass shit in there, but it's clearly got a bright future ahead of it. Still could be a hunk of shit. That's every game though, so whatever.

<3 Dan. Seems like one of those guys who just has a good rapport with everyone. "Does he have a head on his head?!" Entertaining quicklook despite them spending most of their time just collecting wood and food. This game looks pretty dang creepy.

Now call my crazy, but wouldn't the giant crashed plane be a good shelter?

I don't know how I feel about these new hires paying attention to the game!

As much as I'm burnt out on these types of games, it's good to see that this game is going Early Access, but still have some degree of polish to it already.

Reminds me alot of the Lost in the Blue series for the DS.

Brought back memories of playing Arx Fatalis when Brad started dropping dead animals on the fire.

I think it was pretty intentional and definitely funny. Good to see Jason's got some fight in him. I'm really interested to hear more of him. Dan's a pretty known quantity at this point, but I got nothin on Jason.

Reminds me of "Don't Starve"...and i loved that type of game.

I'd say open world survival is a pretty easy genre name.

Looks like a really promising game, reminds me of horror films like Wrong Turn, where characters are being hunted across the wilderness by creepy ass people. Now that's a game I could get around.

@jonny_anonymous: Wouldn't actually mind Patrick or Brad making a daily feature of playing this game. Can't find myself to watch quick look solos, though. Just find the dynamic conversation way more entertaining than Patrick talking to himself and yelling a lot.

This looks ok, but the survival priorities sort of bother me. You can go way longer without food than you can without water. I mean, food is still important for energy to do other things like build a shelter or explore, but I would probably be scrambling to collect that precious rain water. Who knows how far you are from the next water source! I know this is just a video game, and maybe there is an option for water collecting, but it seems weird that hunger is your first priority right off the plane. I think it speaks volumes as to how easy killing those rabbits and lizards are. They're practically serving themselves seasoned to you on a platter with a side of mashed potatoes. Obviously the game wants you to be constantly concerned with getting more food if it's that easy to hunt. Again, I understand it's just a game, but I've tend looked for more realism in this genre.
