I just played through Shadowfall at christmas I can confirm FUCK THAT WINGSUIT SECTION man is it terrible.

I wish there were more good Star Trek games. I remember liking the Elite Force and Armada games, more recently I have been playing Bridge Commander with mods and the Star Trek: Armada 3 mod for Sins of a Solar Empire to get my Trek fix.

Yeah, Bridge Commander is still the pinnacle of Star Trek games really, and it hasn't aged well unfortunately. I'd like a new Star Trek game to be Bridge Commander crossed with Mass Effect.

Def Jam Vendetta is so-so. FFNY is AMAZING. Icon is super fascinated, and I feel it's quite underrated.

I always feel really awkward about Star Trek discussions because I liked Voyager and found DS9 unbearably dull and Trekkies often seem to treat such a view as heresy. Doesn't help that I think the JJ Abrams reboot is better than TOS.

Of course, in my view no Star Trek is as good as any Star Wars so they were bound to hate me anyway.

Did either of you play Birth of the Federation? It's my personal favorite Star Trek game. 4x, not perfect, but I had a lot of fun with it. I would usually play Romulans, my husband would play Feds, and we would play on the biggest map with the most races and try to ally with each other and then take over.

One time we decided to take our entire armadas to fight the borg cube which was moving across the map. I had all my ships in cloaked mode (ooops) so when we engaged the cube most of his fleet was nuked while mine was ignored. I still feel bad about that one, but at the time it was hilarious. :D

Anyway, just wanted to mention a favorite of mine. I also put way too much time into Star Trek Online, but that wasn't as fun, imo.

@chillicothe: More like electro house with a slight nu disco Justice-y feeling, dubstep is a 140BPM genre (largely), that uses 2 step drum patterns making the perceived BPM to be half that (this genre description replaced a snide comment about ignorance of "EDM" genres).

Looks like the developer is from one of the Scandinavian countries (Asmussen sounds Danish or Norwegian), and largely I think the term "disco" is more often used as a word for "dance club" (or short for the french word discothèque) rather than as a music genre descriptor, at least in Sweden.

As a Norwegian, I haven't really heard the term "disco" being used like that (as a word for "dance club") in about 10 years. It's mostly used to describe the genre, or as a wider term for electronic music. Also, this game looks great.

Fuck that. It is a fan made shirt that is really cool. If I was Dan I would wear that whenever I felt like it. If Dan had them made then I would agree with you, but he didn't.

I hope Dan eventually accumulates enough fan-made shirts with him on them that he can be wearing a piece of Dan Ryckert apparel in every GB video he appears in. Critics be damned.

@7x_: I dunno, that seemed pretty tame for Jeff. If he had really wanted to "Go there" he could played door kickers or SWAT 4 or something similar.
