Ben messing with the volume on the pc seems to really annoy Jason, with good reason I'd imagine. I've seen him scold Ben on multiple occasions about it

I dunno, I've had fun in group settings with Knowledge is Power, it's not great, but it's fun. Especially with people who don't play games much, it's easy to pick up and play.

It's funny how we thought Far Cry 5 would be all gritty and finger-on-the-pulse, but now it just seems so goofy with the characters groaning in agony until you help them up and all the NPCs on dust and whatnot. Still seems fun, but I find the tonal shift pretty hilarious. Though maybe we were all making assumptions on what the game would be anyway.

Man, I wish there were something they could do about that ventilation. Sounds like a jetplane in the background when you're on headphones.

Holy fucking christ Knowledge is Power is unbearable. It's beyond comprehension how this thing could be made and released. What the fuck.

I think I'm especially bummed out by it because if the Playlink games are going to be the most desperately cynical attempt to cash in on what Jackbox is doing, the least they could do is be halfway fucking competent at it. Since Jackbox themselves seem to have completely forgotten why their company name has "Jack" in it, I'm totally in the market for a party trivia game. It's an impossible task to write better trivia than a proper You Don't Know Jack game, but this is fucking dire on all fronts.

EDIT: Like how the fuck do you make a trivia game is this style and not display the correct answers on the screen? Or even the questions themselves in some cases. How how how. Anyone not participating gets left out, and as a party game you want everyone playing to be unified in watching a single screen as often as possible, not all individually looking at their phones. Holy shit.

I was in the mood for a new far cry. Last one I played was 3. However, it looks like they took out all the stuff I was looking forward to. Like skinning, and the upgrade system and stuff. I don't like how it looks like there is a lot of empty boring USA space between things. Like they made the world too realistic.

The CKY dvd's are classics.

I'm a big fan of Far Cry 5's focus on more freeform discovery of the world, but pairing that with rigid challenges being central to perk progression seems like the game's design is at war with itself. AC Origins agnostic XP dripfeed with perks rewarding you with more XP for pursuing certain play styles seems much better suited to sandbox open world games than this.

It's sad when the most interesting game on a UPF is a Farcry sequel. There's always next week, I suppose.
