Alert is a state a game may enter after the player has been overtly detected by enemies, and often brings increased enemy opposition (in numbers, aggression, etc.) while a cooldown timer or meter appears by which the player can gauge the expiration of Alert.
Assassins are people who are tasked with the action of violence against peoples, though their general aims are to be discreet and as minimally violent as possible in order to remain discreet if necessary.
Attachments are objects in video games that augment the user's abilities.
The 3rd stage after being spotted in the Metal Gear Series.
The Central Intelligence Agency, or CIA, is an arm of the US government devoted to espionage activities. The Agency plays a significant role in plenty of games.

The 2nd stage after being spotted in the Metal Gear Series.
A mechanic in shooting games which allows the player to mark multiple targets, then execute at all of them at a press of a button usually while time appears to be slowed down or stopped completely. The targets can often include environmental objects like light sources, but also non-lethal body parts of enemies.
The National Security Agency is an agency that is responsible for analyzing and gathering foreign communications and intel. The NSA is also responsible for keeping the US government's own network and communications secure.

Persistent bullet holes allows players to shoot holes into walls without them disappearing right away. This feature added realism to first person shooters, as well as the ability to draw smiley faces.
The "kick back" from a gun. Causes the muzzle of your gun and crosshair to rise when fired. It promotes firing in smaller bursts, and forces the player to push the crosshair down to counter act the force of the recoil.
Elite and specially trained/equipped military troops and law enforcement tasked with carrying out specific and dangerous/sensitive objectives beyond the remit of regular military personnel. Many games feature special forces operators or units as protagonists or enemies.
Spies are the masters of espionage. They're also (usually) quite adept at the art of stealth, disguise, and assassination.
Using stealth often requires the player to accomplish their objective without being detected by enemies. Methods of detection can vary from game to game, and can be based on an enemy's line of sight, how quiet the player is, or even how the player interacts with the environment.
Stealth kills are special kills in video games that usually occur when the AI is not aware of the threat of the player.
Task Force 141 is the team you will be a part of in Modern Warfare 2 and is led by Capt. "Soap" MacTavish.
Highly trained milltary soldiers stationed in Iraq and Afganistan. They are only known by their call-signs.
