3D Platformers are games where movement, traversal and mainly jumping is the core of the gameplay. They are a tridimensional equivalent of 2D platformer one of the most popular video game genres in the third and fourth generation of video game consoles.
The ability to fling oneself around an environment gracefully. Wall-running, jumping, massive drops, climbing, and other physical activities are what acrobatics is all about.
Amiibo is Nintendo's NFC figurine and card program that works across multiple games. Amiibo work natively with the Nintendo Wii U via the NFC reader in the Wii U GamePad and the New Nintendo 3DS. In 2015, Nintendo will release an accessory for the original Nintendo 3DS that lets players use Amiibo on it as well.
Some game characters just cannot swim. This usually means automatic death as soon as they hit the water.
Male version of Femme Fatale. An attractive male who has regular, frequent dalliances with women or more sinister, uses his charm to seduce woman to use them for his own needs.

Games featuring guests introduce playable, established characters from outside of a franchise. Primarily but not exclusively seen in fighting games.
When a developer begs and pleads and offers to do laundry for even a tiny guest appearance, sometimes those famous characters will still flake on them. At least they still have their laundry.
Special or stronger units than standard ones, usually found in strategy games. This is not necessarily the same thing as a superhero or a game's protagonist.
The small models within the Lego franchise which represent people. They appear almost in every Lego game.

A level or sequence where the player must ride in a mine cart, and has some meaningful control over the character or the cart. The Donkey Kong Country series popularized these sequences, and gave them the stigma of frustrating difficulty at the same time.
When a non-pinball franchise gets a pinball game.
Any character you can control in a game is a Player Character (PC), as opposed to a non-player character (NPC), which is a character that can only be controlled by the game.
Swearing, cursing, call it what you want. It is an expression of anger or frustration, in most cases.

Games whose main character is so egotistical that the whole game just HAS to be named after them.
